anniversary day!
Today was ultra-super-fun, except for the sucky bickering about the wireless connection just now. oops.Never realised how nice s'pore was until dad and I took mum for a planned surprise (not really) lunch to celebrate their um 22yrs since they got each other wedding rings. In other words, an anniversary. We blindfolded mum and made her wear sunglasses on top of that, and when we reached mtfaber there was no place to park so dad and I went one entire round up, down and back up the mountain again because we missed a turning.
I LOVE MOCKTAILS (and my parents).
The mocktail was nice, think it was the first mocktail i'd ever tried. Shirley Temple mocktail. yummy. the restaurant was kind of small, there were only a couple of tables, but nearly the whole place's made of glass so you can see the cable cars and everything below. WOW. the food rocked so much, especially the soup and chocolate mousse. Super expensive, but totally worth it I guess.
And then we took cable car to sentosa, then took back to harbourfront where we went off shopping at vivocity for a while. Must go back there again with yiying the shopping queen or gourmet maybe, 'coz there are so many shops my parents wouldn't exactly be interested in going but are in actual fact REALLY INTERESTING to us. heh. But since today's their special day, I guess they had the time of their life 'coz it's been a long while (um, since I came to this school) since the three of us managed to spend an entire day together being happy and carefree and such. I'm glad we're a family. Yay for today (:
The cable cars made me realise how phobic I am of so many things. death, heights, lightning, balloons popping, loud noises, the dark, food mixing (i.e. carrots must not touch curry chicken), detachment, bees. I should become Monk (the guy on starworld. go watch). But nah some of 'em aren't adverse fears, except the my fear of bees and balloons. The best way to kill me is to put me on the top of a very high building, blow up twenty balloons and release a swarm of bees to pop the balloons. I'll jump off the building first. Even mum thinks I've sort of changed alot, I mean, the last time we sat the cablecars dad and I were shaking the whole cablecar like crazy, but when I went on it today I was digging my fingernails into dad's trousers everytime the cable car started shaking. Is that a sign of growing up? When you understand more about life, and when you've lived it longer, you develop more fears. I wonder.
And surprisingly, math isn't one of my phobias. It has never been, I guess.
