31st December.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KOH : D
you rock on my super-cool sometimes-crazy-sometimes-serious super asl! you're lucky you're so young. yahoo (:

Can't believe today's like the last day of 2007 (I always thought there was up to 30th Dec)! Not gonna write new year resolutions and stuff 'coz there's no reason for me to write them if i'm not even sure if I can fulfill them.

-stares O_o at the MDA senior management rap on youtube-

I'm definitely going to play hard next year. I so want to get more involved in mtcyouthgroup, and by right I really should, considering that i'm one of the four SECOND-ECHELON people. : D I suppose it's possible to attend more youth stuff, just leave early when they start mahjong-ing or go late. sometimes feel like grabbing some friends to just play and hang out with the whole day. that's probably a once-in-a-blue-moon kind of thing that's only happened everytime leng baofang and yiying and I get together.

OH LOL I WENT TO WORK TODAY (and yesterday) (:
yesterday straight after the youth discussion was over I chiong-ed off with mum to help dad with his work. And then 'coz dad's rushing to get something done in his work, I went back to help again today! (half-day only. lol) And all I can say after hours of scooping and labelling and measuring and filling, seriously be very glad that you have cosmetics 'coz making them ain't really a piece of cake.
but yes today was fun! got to scoop loads and loads of micro beads and helped make a face scrub! : D there were loads of stuff to stir in and when the mixture was done scooping it out was a total killer. 20 heaping kilos of warm light blue sticky cream plopped into ten pails. Ouch my arms. Oh and the last thing I did was helping to fill in bottles with facial cream! It was just so addictive 'coz you just hold the bottle underneath the nozzle, step on the pedal and out comes the cream! i guess its alot better than making mcflurrys! :D

so now back I am eating burnt toast! GO WATCH NUMBERWANG BECAUSE YOU WANT TO!
and willette wee it's your fault luh now i've got anyband fever too!
watchnight service later on! woot.

happy new year, folks.

CCAO

so today was CCAO. woot.
Was a bit fun and boring all the same I guess, but the boring sort of outweighed the fun today. :D oh well! Took public transport ALL THE WAY to school for the first or second time (but i'm not some sheltered wimp please)! Good thing managed to find a few shorter bus routes to school... I managed to get a seat in the train and then at simei this PIT came in the whole full uniform so I sort of yanked up my socks and pretended to be on a sms marathon all the way to city hall. It did become a little sms marathon in the end 'coz boss smsed to say she'd be bringing chocolates for us later on : D wooooooooot! and I met aqilah on the way to orchard so we went to school together, thought we were gonna be really late but we ended up quite on time thanks to 190.

Morning dazu was quite funny 'coz it was super weird to see a *cough* person in PSL uniform and court shoes tooting her zhongsuo at the back of the KS Chee amidst the sea of cullottes and pinafores. Halfway through dazu qian and dawn came back and jiaqian and I almost tripped over them on our way up the platforms where the chairs were. willettewee i'm gonna give you nightmares every lesson when sch reopens for making us play the A major part oh so many times. >:) And then valsoh and aqilah came in to pay me and willette a little visit which i think made wil abit crazy after that.

We had order-in macs lunch which wasn't exactly wonderful, but I wasn't hungry so we donated most of our fries to scitare and passing people like meijia and shimin :) and then boss came at last with the chocolates! :D realised that i'm quite -um- quoting boss, LOSERIZED coz all the nice presents from boss and boya (i.e. the seaweed from korea and gummy sweets) are still stuck on the study table at home. Will slowwwwwwwwwwly give them out. hahaha :D
Oh and we were talking about sec four life and subject teachers and everything, and I really wonder how my GPA's gonna be like next year, even after moderation. That's why need to piah for math chem and lit (4.0 lit hopes were totally dashed after a certain *cough* EYA this year).
So lingyan simei yuyue and I decided to kope boss' notes which would probably require magnification by about 556655665566556655665566 times. Suona-playing in the classroom was okay for us cg people (since we're so accustomed to noise) but I bet it was pretty deafening for the other sections. Poor tanbo people who always sit in front of us get the full blast of my precious gaosuo :D
I PWNED THE HIGH PART NEHHHH BOSS. you heard it with your own ears!
but there will be more stewpid high parts to come. especially for qinwang, the high parts are a killer but dingding wants me to play them anyhow.

The rest of the day was playing playing playing and more playing. I'm scared of jingle bells now seriously. Next year's secones seem really dao and pint-sized. Wonder how we're going to recruit eager-beaver un-dao people for shengsuo who won't burst out crying or cover their ears and everything. it's super annoying sometimes i tell you, but can't blame them, 90% of shengsuo was once an unhappy bunch of leftovers chosen to play instruments that are always give the unfortunate stereotype of funeral instruments and either too large or too loud to play at home. I guess once we got used to our instrus they just grew on us and well here we are, happy noisy people. I can't be happier being in chuiguan than in any other section. or maybe daji too. (:

Our performance was not bad coz wgy came to conduct. After we changed out we went off to hide backstage to hear the other CCAs performing in the KS Chee, and became spectators of a heated old maid game going on in the daji room from which screams regularly erupted from. : D
and then my family went to dunman to eat eng's wantonmee which is SUPER GOOD, crapped with valsoh and got high listening to the new 5566 song on 933fm.

i must be getting crazy because I dreamt of 5566 for the third time this week! ah.

baking!

AH YAY. I baked chocolate muffins and cornflake muffins and wholemeal raisin bread just now and christmas cookies on the eve! The cookies are rock hard, but oh well shall bring them to share at xiaozu and tuition tomorrow.
Lol. tuition with my uncle. tomorrow. Wonder how it'll go. lol. Good thing he's helping me mainly for chem and extra help for math too : D

GO BUY THE HAIRSPRAY DVD OR VCD! it's fun! actually the dvd's really worth the money, it has the most extra fun stuff compared to all my other DVDs! I think it has even more stuff than the goblet of fire DVD which even has triwizard games in it and the LOTR ones. lol. was going high over hairspray yesterday. >: O

The Christmas Rant.

Be gone, neighbours.
This may be my umpteenth post about your utter idiocy but I don't care.
We can never run out of words to describe anything, be it love, hate or fury, and that means you, bubs.
Stop it man. Please stop it. She's not even doing a d***** thing and you just have to make so much noise right outside our gate.
IF THE PRICKLY CANCER-CURING PLANT OUTSIDE ACCIDENTALLY PRICKS YOU, I'LL TELL THE PLANT TO GIVE YOU ITS MOST SINCERE APOLOGIES. HOW AMAZING. THEY'RE THERE FOR A REASON. TO CURB DISTURBANCES.
The day Mr. Prickly Plant pricks some irritating one of you will be a very interesting day.
We've been cooperating on our part. I wonder when they'll ever grow up to a certain mature age where they'll stop creating all that irritating ruckus outside just to annoy one dog. Open the gate, make noise. Run with plonking footsteps that could subdue an elephant. Shout to make phoebe bark more. Laugh. Close the door RIGHT IN YOUR FACE, still make noise. Even worse. My goodness 真的是拿你们没有办法 already.
My gosh, keeping a dog really really really really teaches you tolerance. And anger management too.
ARRGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! *screams echoing from a certain house in Tampines at this very very moment*
My hands are trembling. this is one of those times where it really gets too far. That does it. I am not someone who has a forever happy crazy jovial personality. Happy people get angry too.

oh yeah.

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE (: <
It's Christmas, not X'mas. 'coz without Christ it ain't Christmas anymore.
Oh and carolling was really funny because they chose so many new songs, so I had to do alot of agar-ation for those songs which I have never heard in my entire life. hahaha. I think i'm cooled down now. psssssssssssssst.

pia, pia, piah.

Three consecutive days of pia-ing lit.
The result? I think I can almost imitate the irritating way Tesman from Hedda Gabler talks. Seriously I got so irked just by reading dialogues that involved him that I almost choked on my dinner dumplings. : /
Must really pia. Must 拼. Especially for lit and chem and (i hate to say it) maddermatiks.
Off I trudge to sparknotes.

EDIT: HARRY POTTER IS ON SPARKNOTES. The entire series! See, that's why we should all just do the seven Potter books for literature in our 4 years of sec school life.

Oh and by the way, 5566 still rocks, world. Even though they've been on a -correct me if i'm wrong- two year hiatus.

Christmas service was in fact today, and when I got up in the morning I was still thinking that we'd all have to go back to church on tuesday, Christmas day itself, for another service. Ah.
Honestly the song item was kind of last minute, but it still turned out great as a result of God's grace and our ultimate pro-ness.
Hilarious issue of the day- kevin's been -ahem- violated by a pint-sized four-year-old. (or five?) More like bullied. Poor mr soprano. Lol but it was really funny because it started from playful points to violently romantic to extreme toddler violence. hah abel and the rest of us were completely unscathed (because we were busy being the easily excitable paparazzi and laughing at Everyone's Favourite Uncle). Lol.
Garn I doubt i'll be able to go to the science centre with the schaefers and the usual crazy youth people on thursday. Oh yes if thursday's the 27th, THERE IS XIAOZU FROM 8AM-12NOON (time applies to chuiguan only).

Youth's going to the macritchie treetop walk next saturday morning, and elaine and (believe it or not) I are the organizers. Oh well. If math still isn't going good for me, and the test is at most 3 or 4 days after the outing, I'm definitely going to have to give this outing a miss, much as I'd like to go.
Target for 2008: Go for at least half of the youth outings organized. I should go, and that means this person here's gonna have to pia EXTRA HARD and set her priorities in place to make time.

Time is such an enemy sometimes, y'know.

CAROLLING TOMORROW! (: shall agar-agar play piano and see how it goes!

CHUIGUAN BARBECUE!

Whoopsie that (points a twisted finger at the previous post) was rather astounding. Astounding to be coming from such a ever-crazy me. Never mind. now you know.

CHUIGUAN BARBECUE TODAY!
was a whole lot of tremendous fun! Simei (note i'm not even calling you baomeili here!) and I were quite delighted with the attendance today, honestly we weren't expecting that many seniors to come back!
Basically we spent a whole late morning - afternoon sitting at the treehouse and barbecueing. Oh and some people (points an accusing finger jokingly) went to the arcade.
Let's start from morning shall we? : D
Went to fetch yuyue at tampines MRT, then mum and dad gave us a ride all the way to Club CSC @ Bukit Batok.

OH I MUST QUOTE MY MUMMY HERE BECAUSE IT REALLY IS A QUOTE WORTH QUOTING AND REMEMBERING FOR AS LONG AS I KNOW MY DEAR SIMEI. :D

the first thing mummy said when she got out of the car sent yuyue and I crashing into each other with laughter. In fact we were sort of crashing into each other with hysteria the entire time we were together? Ah. Anyway mummy must've heard me talking to simei on the phone SO MANY TIMES that the moment she got out, she asked "eh where is BAO MEI LI ar?"
AHAHAHAHAHA. We then pointed to simei who was waving both hands (and looked more like she was flailing about) when we showed her the tray of fried rice.

Then we sort of started going crazy again 'coz we saw boss sitting next to siyun (sister of bao mei li!) with a huge 4kg bag of charcoal in front of them, and we realised that boss came super early due to my very regrettably inaccurate sms and she had to lug the charcoal into the toilet with her. And then blur boss thought that yuyue and I were at SIMEI'S HOUSE because when lingyan called yuyue and I, we told her we were still on the way at SIMEI (the place with eastpoint, the mrt, hospital, fire station, expo, you get the picture) and so lingyan told boss verbally that we were still at simei. I laugh.

After everyone came we went up to the treehouse, took a super long time to get the fire going, finally got it going with the muchly appreciated help of si yun (my fellow bollywood-er!) and yuyue (the pervert whom I never thought had so much knowledge about fire-starting). The rest played cards (ahem.) and some helped too.

Simei yuyue and I (THE PERVERTS THREE!) were sent down to the poolside cafe to buy a lighter. I was feeling rather lame so while simei touched and touched the ice cream in the huge fridge, I slid the other fridge door open, grabbed a whole chunk of snow-like ice and stuffed it down yuyue's shirt. So it was sort of an ice fight with simei asking about lighters and everything in the background, with me screeching and yuyue doing a crazy impromptu jelly-man MAMAMADANCE.
Once we got the lighter we couldn't stop doing our new MAMAMAMADANCE and it somehow inspired yuyue to play hai dai. At first we were doing very weird and poorly coordinated hai dai and then while waiting for simei who went to the toilet, we came up with a CHUIGUAN SENIOR VERSION haidai which really was so hilarious and crazy that when simei came out and siyun came downstairs to give us money, they must have though we'd gone mad.

--------pauses to watch my dog kill a baby lizard. So that's where those black rotten baby lizard corpses surrounded by gooey liquid came from. Go doggie. Catch the nasty lizard.---------------

Our haidai game continued! We managed to get really funny candid shots of people and abit of camwhoring with ching : D Meanwhile there were quite alot of people huddling around the pit trying to get the fire to start. AVA PEOPLE CAN GET FIRES GOING OKAY. : D
Then people went to the arcade, while si yun and the rest of the current CO members (minus brenda) stayed back to help cook the food. The bbq-ing itself was quite enjoyable 'coz we were talking loads of crap and having fun being crazy and everything. face it, we're just crazy. AT LAST we managed to cook the prawns and sausages, the seniors came back to help and we were pretty much on our way with the food. But it was really really tough keeping the fire there, dunno how yiying's dad does it so well with only the help of her mum during our annual banana bbq chalet gatherings. (:
Food was good, but I barely ate. I think those people who spent most of their time at the pit didn't have much of an appetite after MINDING and STARING at the food for hours.

Yixin and I came up with a new sport- PEA-THROWING!
People who are frequently irked by the vast number of peas in your fried rice, fret no more! Grab a pea and toss it at the nearest head you can find.
So during lunch simei yixin and I started throwing peas at boss because she's such a good target to practise aiming on, and moved on to even further targets like lingyan and the juniors who were right across at the pit. One of them got lingyan on the forehead. >: O

So after that more people went home, some stayed to play cards while the rest of us tried keeping the flame going and cooking more food. It rained and we all quickly grabbed umbrellas to protect the pit as much as we could (and it worked!). Then we played siyun's scenario game which was pretty hard to figure out, cleared up the stuff, took a cool group photo with the measly bunch of survivors who stayed back to clean up, and went home. WAHAHAHA.

And yes- it's kudos time! (many many thank yous and muchly appreciations.)
Kudos to simei and siyun for marinating the chickins and bringing so much food, and lingyan as well for the much-needed advice on barbecueing!
Kudos to si yun (the bollywood one!) for helping out SO MUCH with barbecueing and especially the fire-starting and cleaning up. Thanks!
Kudos to yuyue who pointed out that without fire starters, we wouldn't be able to have a bbq. And for making me get so unbelievably high and crazy that I almost peed in my boardshorts.
Kudos to boss for lugging the 4kg of charcoal and having such a smart brain (ha!) to go to Giant instead of NTUC to buy the charcoal!
Kudos to the sec ones- claire, anqi and yingbao who helped us cook and shelter and grease the food all the way!
Kudos to stacey for being one of the exceptionally good cooks and providing us with loads of knowledge about stuff we wouldn't have known about otherwise! And for the heavenly brownies : D
Kudos to jiaqian esther and yixin who also stayed throughout to help cook and go nuts with us!
Kudos to the seniors who made time to come and help!
Kudos to everyone! for coming and hope yall had a fun time! (:

photos will be up as soon as I can upload them!

wah very tired now. must sleep. BBQ ROCKED TODAY MAN :D

worry.

It's weird.
Maybe I worry too much, or i'm being cautious or even paranoid or something. The -um- predecessors don't really worry much, or so it seems, but here I am getting so uptight about stuff which aren't as worth getting alarmed at at all. All those stuff coming together one by one, and that incident which recently came to my attention just hit me that you don't just take up such a role so readily and so blissfully unaware, you actually have to learn it, accept it and be very very sure about what you're doing.
In private, or among those really close to you, things that you feel you shouldn't have done can be forgiven, forgotten and cast aside after a while.
Now I have to be super careful with what I'm doing. Very hardly any second chances that'll just conveniently float past for you to pick up like those crazy flyers for flat rentals and tuition centers.
Worrying really doesn't help anything. People can ease your worry temporarily, thank God for them, but I guess most of the things i worry about aren't worth brooding on. Rather just let everything take its course. Which is what i'll do.
And amidst all the fun there is something to think about each time- like what you're doing and how it's affecting everyone else and yourself and stuff like that. Whether you've been too quick in reacting, or not listening to the other side of the story, or just seeing that glimmer of hope at the end...
I don't want all of this to end, it's sort of like a test, it's fun.
Hakuna matata. : D

atcl over!

IT'S OVER! OVER OVER OVER WAHAHAHAHA! *spins around in delight and tosses onions around for no apparent reason*

totally tired out by today man.
BUT WHO CARES ABOUT TIRED ATCL IS OVER WAHOO! Or at least until I get back my results and start crying about how terribly I must've done. Aiyah.
Was super nervous last night to the point of not being able to fall asleep until almost 12. Then this morning I sort of attempted to make myself get used to the freezing cold recital studio by staying in the piano room which was freezing cold because I switched the air con down to a pretty low temperature. And last night I stuck my fingers into the freezer. Rehearsed one last time then mum drove lishan and I to milennia walk.
:D
we look super super super weird in a dress. just me actually. I wore some brilliant royal purple dress with a sash that looks more like an ultra-high belt with those flat and wide black court shoes I usually wear for CO concerts. At first it was really quite scary 'coz the candidate just before me was taking her LTCL and she sounded so pro she made out jaws drop. we could actually hear her banging and pounding furiously on the steinway inside, later we found out the door was half closed. AND THEN THE MOMENT WE CAME OUT OF THE TOILET WE FOUND OUT THAT IT WAS ALREADY MY TURN. The steward (whom my mum calls the boy-boy) was nice, he kind of helped to calm my nerves by assuring us that the examiner was nice. Although his photo on that slip of paper with all his credentials made him look about 15 years younger than he actually looks now.
and well since I've blogged something similar to this about last year's PC, shall do the same this time!

Sonata in C minor, op.13 (‘Pathetique’)- super nice super weird super cool. my fingers were really half shivering and almost thought that they were going to stay locked and stiff from the um SHEER COLD. But then after two stupid slips that i really hope werent heard by the examiner, my fingers got all hot. 3rd movement was the best today! :D

Song Without Words in A, op. 38 no.6 (‘Duetto’)- hah. if not for this piece my fingers would've totally died from exhaustion. Its really a sort of filler piece to rest properly and um quieten down? :) but since it's slow enough to emote, its the most satisfying of all the 3 pieces.

Op. 10 no.12 in C minor (‘Revolutionary Etude’)- i dunno... better than expected but could have been better. REALLY could have been better. shouldn't have slipped at the last part. the slip forced me to quickly improvise some very weird short hanon-like left hand passage while I was trying to make the right hand part so loud the mistake wouldn't be so obvious. :D oh well at least the last 4 chords were totally strong.

oh yeah the songs are by Beethoven, Mendelssohn and Chopin respectively.

Oh yes it's OVER! must thank so many people, especially mum and piano teacher and lishan my pro crazy nice page turner who really really really really really helped SO MUCH. yeah next time we should do duet exam! our target! : D

OVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

CO today was really fun, mainly 'coz I didn't exactly screw all the high notes but we sure made the tanbo and diyinbu people in front of us temporarily deaf. SORRY BUBS. Oh and there was this HUGE COLOSSAL SCARY GIANT BEE OR HORNET OR WASP around in the jblock shared classroom during dazu. And it just so happened that it flew in our direction so while we were playing and I was holding a particularly long note, I screamed halfway and dashed out of the classroom with zhiqi. We people who are extremely afraid of bees. Wanglaoshi swatted it in the end and tried to chase it out of the window. that was one of those hilarious dazu moments I tell you. Oh great, now everyone knows that valteo is scared to death of bees. Really there were about six or seven bees flying around at the estate 2 weeks ago and my mum and I had to WALK RIGHT THROUGH THEM and I almost cried. Stupid bees.

Games! haha they were pretty fun too. Can't exactly elaborate coz I'm simply too tired. Came back late, went all crazy and happy and high just now, had quite an eventful (and food-ful) MRT joyride home with yiwei and poor brenda who sprained her ankle. YOU GET WELL SOON BRENDA AND I WANT TO SEE THAT LEG ALL WRAPPED UP LIKE A DUMPLING. I love dumplings.

WAHHHHH. Thank God it's over! Haha just finished crapping about the crazy things only-child-chaps do at home when they're alone and don't have anyone in particular to talk to. ME HAS NOW GONE TO BATHE AND PLAY POKEMON AND SLEEP. goody nights!

I CAN I CAN!

I LOVE YOU MOOSE!

Got this from valsoh's blog! Last week (i think) dorcas david valsoh and her sis and maid and friend and I went to the circus at downtown east! I was expecting elephants and tigers and super well-trained dogs but it turned out to be a really HIGH experience. with loads of cute clowns. See the sheer high-ness etched all over our faces. The story goes that we were having so much fun pushing those colossal crowdsurfing balls and ravaging bits of shredded canvas paper, we decided to wear the paper on ourselves. whee thank you valsoh! moose!! :D
Jixun/huibao.
WAS TODAY! Not much of a surprise for me, but it was a pleasant surprise that sec3s and SLs don't have to play for huibao! I guess it's some prelude to tomorrow's ATCL or something, you somehow feel like you've got all the power in your hands when you're sitting among the panel of judges.
We had some sort of weird SL gathering (minus jasselyn) before jixun started! Wil and I kena scolding from BENDA because someone wanted to fix cellos :D Nicole went out to call dawn so I was kinda restless and decided to call boss for the pure fun of it.
Attendance was um kind of low but oh well that's how we got to squeeze everyone into the J block shared classroom!
oh yeah-
MUCHLY THANKS all you seniors who came back! boss, boya, zhu, joyce and of course my fellow bollywood person siyun! : D the judging area was so CRAMMED that I had to resort to desperate measures (i.e. crawling under the table) to get out of the place. Those who did huibao were pretty good (:
Left at about 11am to chiong home for piano but not before having a pretty sadistic *cough personal huibao cough* with boss. BOSS I ASSURE YOU I WILL PWN THE HIGH PARTS BEFORE YOU COME BACK AND VISIT AGAIN. :D
oh well. and if it really does happen, i'll just have to let it go and start from scratch next year (although it'll be tough with my occasional lack of patience. ouch.) Get more, get better, choose properly. After all there's always help from boss and songsim! thank you! :)
hurhur. all the best brenda and yifei, for the remaining jixuns yall will have to burn midnight oil and rack your brains and spend much of your energy taking charge of!
and THANKYOUSOMUCH people for your encouragement! (: the crazy youth people, and during CO today, and gourmet- dorcas valsoh and wil, the banana people- baofang yiying and leng, and everyone else.
half excited and scared.
YOU.MUST.RID.YOUR.MIND.OF.THOSE.CUMBERSOME.NERVES.
oh well. shall go bang on the bohemia one more time. for security! I shouldn't be that scared or worried anyway!
phil 4:13! I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me! :D
might as well do the atcl countdown anyway!
TOMORROW.

5566!

5566 IS BACK IN TOWN!
and so is xiaozhu! I feel fangirl-ish all over again.
BUT! I'm not that fangirl-ish as I used to be a few years back... OCTEO IS ALL GROWED UP!
Nevertheless, it's still quite fun to get all excited and happy, especially when 5566 and 3/5 of 183Club went on tv for the hong xing da jiang! huangyurong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today was super fun despite the fact that there's only two days (actually, less than two) to ATCL.
Choir practice in church! something that isn't really easy to forget I must say. The tenor people losing their notes and catching them back pretty well in the end, and the bass going lower and lower and lower and lower and lower! *stares at abel and mr S*
Then we went to fish&Co to celebrate carmen's birthday! My first time going to a youth fish&Co surprise bday lunch/dinner! I think we sat there for a total of almost more than two hours talking like mad! The birthday song was................... nuts, but super. super nuts! Would've been even more exciting if it was peak hour, but anyway there were a number of people around. Got a hand full (not handful) of chocolate cake cream and a chocolate cake with two huge fingerprints courtesy of a certain soprano-boy. Once again the heat-emanating-whipped-cream trick backfired. It never works for me : [
Oh and squeezing into sunny's car! all seven of us literally stacked up on top of each other until eshton got off and we could sit quite comfortably. SUPER SUNDAY TODAY I TELL YOU.

Not sure why but octeo feels super happy and very, very contented and not as nervous about ATCL as before! God's really answered alot of my prayers today, and now thankfully I can go for *ahem* CO without much worry (:

OH WELL MIGHT AS WELL DO THE COUNTDOWN RIGHT?
1 day to ATCL!

postscript:
FEELING EXTRA HAPPY BECAUSE MANY HAPPY THINGS HAPPENED YESTERDAY!
went to milennia walk with lishan to practice in the piano studio where i'll be having my exam in. AND IT WAS A STEINWAY A STEINWAY A STEINWAY! We were sort of marvelling at the piano until we realised that we only had one hour to bang on the wonderful piano. We really had a cool time inside that cold cold cold studio! : D

And then after playing on the nice steinway I went to meet mum and dad at marina square and AT LAST octeo has got nice nice nice ben 10 merchandise!
very sadly yes this person who is about to become a secondary four student still loves cartoons that small kids like. BEN 10 :D
Bought a ben10 scissors and PLATE. A plate.
After that mum was convinced I was alot more motivated to eat loads and loads of fruits 'coz we used that nice plate as a fruit plate! And so after you eat all the apples and grapes and papayas and bananas and potato and dim sum you can see ben 10 and I think three monsters- wildmutt and heatblast and upgrade.. dunno- staring at you.
I LIKE IT.

Will not be blogging here until ATCL has finally been taken. hooray. (:

random guestbook madness

Phew.
At long last, all the mad jixun and huibao business and chuiguan outing stuff all settled.

CHUIGUAN people who happen to read this, please go to the cg blog NOW for important details on outing. Yes go read now. now.

Did I mention that the newly-purchased printer of mine ISN'T WORKING?!! Spent close to an hour attempting to prod at it and fix it. Finally saved by the nice technical support guy! So they're gonna replace the printer or fix it I guess, but I sure don't wanna pay for any sort of Boldrepairs coz WE HAVEN'T GOT TO EVEN SUCCESSFULLY SLOT PAPER INTO IT IN THE FIRST PLACE.

and before I go off to chiong some math, here's a random discovery, which isn't really a discovery at all....
Got bored while waiting for the whole large receipt for my stupid printer to get scanned, so I decided to log onto a few guestbooks! : D
Somewhere in May, willette and I got ultra POTO-high (and if you didn't know what POTO is, it's a musical. go figure.)!!! Oh and I remember how we used to have very friendly heated squabbles about phantom being better than raoul and all that, sending over different versions of the soundtrack late into the night and pasting lyrics in our blogs and handbooks and CHINESE TEXTBOOKS. [seriously most of the KE WENs in my higher chi textbooks have weird random and sometimes illegible scrawls and loads of lyrics everywhere. my attention span during chinese is regrettably very short and I can't really help it unless we're watching videos of ru hua torturing 5566 in the massage parlour. End of long bracketed sentence.]
Anyway we got so extremely high one night that we went on a guestbook hunt! We typed very very fangirl-ish messages on all 3 guestbooks of the main character people and when I decided to take a look at the guestbooks for fun just now, THEY'RE STILL THERE! (:
whoopee!

from this day on!

YEAH MAN AT LAST WE FINISHED ARRANGING AND RECORDING OUR TWO SONGS WAHOO! :D
after loads and loads of (fun and piano-ful) rs sessions! :)
i doubt anything could be better than our rs! sitting in front of the piano for hours (at least until next year), getting fingers stuck while sliding them down the keyboard, hearing other groups' ticking metronomes, getting addicted to clodhoppers, koping postcards and most recently, the failed attempts to pop tiny impact lime mints into your mouth like they do in those incredible mentos ads.

ahem.

FROM THIS DAY ON, octeo shall not dawdle on the DS lite like there's no tomorrow, or read and re-read deathly hallows, or watch back-to-back episodes of camp lazlo and spongebob, obssess over how fat she is and that she is doomed for taf club for the rest of her life, or read the newspaper for hours just to while time away. NO MORE NO MORE : D
Got loads to do now. garn. jixun, huibao, ATCL *trembles*, etc etc etc.
MUG MATH NOW. MUG MATH NOW. MUG MATH NOW. MUG MATH NOW.

sometimes I think i'm fat. It really depends on my mood, if I'm feeling sad and horrible i'll feel fat and flabby, but if i'm feeling happy I'll look in the mirror, feel rather fat but cheerful that i'm not as fat as those people who eat like 12 ice creams a day.
I WANT TO RANT ABOUT MY FOOD LIMITATIONS FIRST!
I do not have chocolates at home. (I have chocolate creams which have forcefully become mine because my aunt bought too many)
I don't eat snacks except fruits and tau sar piah and diet biscuits.
I've been eating brown rice and oatmeal and soya milk since I-can't-recall-when.
I've never drank a full glass of cow's milk before coz it makes me fat.
There are about 12 fat control food stuff at home and eight exercise stuff.

AND I AM STILL KIND OF MEATY. oh dear.

and there are very fortunate people who have such wonderful high metabolic rates they can eat loads of stuff and not exercise so much and still are so skinny.

relax. i'm happy with the way I am though, but it'd be awfully nice if I could just LOWER MY WEIGHT and get rid of the last bit of flab.
I'll never turn to extreme ways to lose weight coz it really doesn't pay and anyway I got a bit too extreme in primary 6 (i was fat then!) and it took a toll on my psle prelim. so i shall never be extreme ever ever ever again.

okay, rant over.

ANYWAY YES IT'S TIME TO MUG MATH AND BANG ON THE PIANO, AND KEEP THE DS LITE INTO THE NICE BRIGHT PINK CASE WHICH IT'S NEVER BEEN KEPT IT FOR A LONG TIME! (:

and so begins the countdown.

Went to watch CCO concert with brenda yixin simei and stacey after church yesterday!
brenda and I were really, really (sort of) intimidated by the proximity of the stage (we were sitting right in the second row in the front)! So as a result we didn't get to see the dinglaoshi and zhenglaoshi and all the other chuiguan people there playing, but we did see loads of other juicy stuff! : D *coughs*

Shortly before intermission ended a couple of ahmahs asked us if we were from dhs. EXPECTED REACTION when we told them sheepishly that we're from rg.
Honestly it's a bit irksome to keep seeing the same old expected bunch of reactions when people find out what school i'm from. Sometimes i'd really love to tell them seriously, i'm not clever, nor am i exceptionally bright that people have to wear sunglasses when they stroll past me. I am not the future nobel prize winner or some aspiring lawyer or astrologist or what-have-you.
and most importantly, i am not rich.
Haha i suppose those are some stereotypes. really really inaccurate ones. There are pretty brilliant people etc etc etc here but most others are just really normal people. I'm someone who has wonderful eyebags and wishes (it's good to get away from reality sometimes) to get a GPA above 3.0 and have bowls full of bar chor mee and tau huay appearing in front of her on her command. it's that simple.

Oh yes anyway the four of us (simei went back) went to raffles city for dinner and started reminiscing our days kindergarteners who had serious problems. Like how stacey threatened a teacher in k2, yixin a victim of kindergarten bullying and my non-stop crying for two months until mum and dad had to drop me out of nursery. : D
Finally got to try donuts from donut factory, the choices of donuts are abit the limited (or at least more limited than munchy's) but the donuts are really really good. I guess good donuts don't give you that weird oily aftertaste when you belch.

and I will publicly announce here that BRENDA YOU OWE ME (yixin, stacey and koh too) BIG MONEY BIG TIME : D fork it all up!

and that was yesterday. what fun! : D

OH MY LALA piano exam's only two weeks and 1 day away! what am I doing here I wonder.
and so begins the countdown to the dreaded (and yet most anticipated) atcl '07, december 18! which means that i'm also counting down to wang shao wei's birthday thirty-something-th birthday at the same time!

15 DAYS

retreat and detours!

today's youth retreat was pretty enjoyable. discussion was really fruitful too : D
and then had lunch at aiport terminal 2 BK. now we (especially kevin) know, if we're really out of cash, don't eat a triple whopper. eat something else. with a meal.
We had a tour around terminal 3, it was so huge and so um futuristic? if that's the best way to describe it i suppose. We didn't go into the area with loads of duty free shops 'coz we didn't want to spend extra money, but from upstairs we could actualy see alot of that part.
From what i've heard, the urinals there are hilarious. i'm not joking. they sent us laughing all the way to outer space.
We spent 90472858360056780722473509 minutes watching ratatouille which happened to be playing on one of the tvs in a shop. oh and i wish pirated VCDs weren't illegal. especially if you're not filthy stinking rich, can't afford movie tickets, can't subscribe to cable tv or buy those original VCDs until they're about 3 years old.

I took millions of long detours on the way home, and I purposely walked to and from all the digital photo shops in my estate (it's pretty large) just to buy cheap AA batteries for my iPod speakers + dock. Took even more detours and went all the way up to the 13th floor of one of the blocks across the field and ran down the stairs to the ground floor just for fun (and fats). took another detour before i reached home. Losing weight ain't easy but worth it! which is why there's a friendly new treadmill standing in front of the living room.

Today rocked, i guess.

oh yeah angry rants coming up. please do not read if you are already feeling particularly angry, grouchy, distraught or sad.

such a forgetful dumbo i am. why is it possible that i can remember most things so well, and then again some important stuff just slips out of my memory within a second or so? WHY. it's not the first time, it's never been. you just have to wonder why i can play pokemon or speak english when i'm so dumb sometimes.

GET A MOVE ON AND FOR GOODNESS SAKE STOP FORGETTING THINGS ESPECIALLY WHEN THERE'S NO NOTEBOOK THERE FOR YOU TO WRITE IN ALL THE TIME. GAH.
