fun!

YAY TODAY WAS SUPER SLACK AND FUN.
hmhm dazu today was TOTALLY nonsensical lar. one of the MOST nonsensical ones ever. there were SO few people today 'cos the sec2s had 2.4km run (which they didn't run in the end aha), and so boss and wenting and I were having loads and loads of fun at the back. and laughing at boya who was all alone coz she was the ONLY sheng around.
wgy saw boss and I conducting, and she gave us this O_o and >:D look! lu lao shi was laughing at us at the back also. sighhs imitating wgy conducting is FUN.
oh yeah SO SORRY WENTING DEAR for accidentally breaking your shaopian! wo dui bu qi shiny!! I was laughing at something boss was telling me about, then I realised that something had cut the roof of my mouth when I bent over wenting's shiny while I was laughing. And there was the shaopian which had split into a million gazillion pieces. ahh stupid me! yes I can conclude that I am very infinitely stupid, mainly 'coz I can't really understand logarithms presently.
yup dazu is FUN right? :D ta3 ji2 ge1 is a reaaaaallly nice song.

AND I BOUNCE ON THE FLOOR WITH OVERJOY. is there such a word as OVERJOY in the first place.
why does octeo bounce with overjoy? coz I'M WATCHING PotO AGAIN WITH DEAR YIXIN YAY HAHAHA! can see raoul again! again! again! AGAAAAAAIIIIIIN ahaha cheese is nice with potatoes and computers and forks are for sizzling protein llama methanol turns iodine rainbow coloured LALALALALA.

esther says she thinks she saw raoul in a chocolate shop at esplanade. AWW MAN AWW MAN why couldnt i have been there! never mind. I have a second round of poto to look forward to after myas! In fact we're planning to go on the last day of sec 3 mya! LET POTO BE MY MOTIVATION TO DO WELL FOR THE MYAS, especially darned maths.

oh yeah and mum was really nice, she took me to borders to pre-order harry potter and the deathly hallows and bought 2 books frm the english book list. then we went to the cool isetan supermarket to buy jap food and mum bought me a nice POKEMON D/P WINDMILL. (: it's for a sort of boys' festival in japan, but anyway I didn't really mind carrying around that windmill with a cute plastic pikachu on top and a wind sock attached to it. pokemon ROCKS. don't really watch the series but i'm more into the games. which reminds me.
pokemon diamond and pearl= amazing.
it's in 3D and there are so many cool functions!! cant wait to use the global trading system. The pokemon are quite fun to train, and today my chimchar evolved into monferno and my starly evolved into staravia too! i'm gonna survive the whole game with these two chaps and my shinx until I get a shellos and happiny later on. just realised most of the pokemon I planned to use all come in quite late in the game, especially abomasnow.

okayy enough nonsense! i'm gonna PUT myself into bed now.
got so frustrated over math just now for no reason. mya mood swings are scary :]

HAHAHA.
yme sessions never fail to brighten my tuesdays (:
oh and today was quite a slack and fun day, especially PE. I think more than half our class had a huge game of captain's ball in the small little squash court! yitong and xinqi totally flattened and squashed willette and valsoh, they're very much like roti prata now. YEAH the best PE lesson ever. we were sweating so much we looked like we got caught in a storm.

and then there was yme at lwssom which was super fun too! It's what I always look forward to on tuesdays lar. never knew RS could be that enjoyable. cheryl valsoh and I got a room to ourselves and it had a WHITEBOARD which we started drawing rubbish on while writing the verse for our song. the pikachu snowman, ditto, the totochan man, the yang lightbulb, etc. haha. cheryl spells einstein's name wrongly. poor einstein. Okay and we really didn't expect HK to be in basketball last time! we were thinking of more like performing arts, like CHOIR. after the super boyfriend discussion we had in the room we managed to finish our whole song, after three weeks of figuring out syncopated rhythms and deciding on key signatures and modulations and range! our song ROCKS. :)

gotta go do work AGAIN. as usual.

life is really like a piece of glass. it's so fragile that you don't know when it'll just break it, and when you least expect it'll go just like that.

and when these things do happen, it's natural to feel sad or shocked.
but is it wrong to even smile or get a little hyper and crazy amidst these times of sadness and everything?
even when it's just for a moment when you have to unleash all those feelings in one way or another? they all must go out somewhere, sometime.

and the way you put it, was as if i was some unfeeling robot with nothing but happy feelings programmed in my mind.
i really remembered every word you said, i don't think you knew i heard it, i suppose it was just a passing remark. but at times like this those words just flow back into my memory and stay stuck there for awhile. it's not a matter of getting angry, offended or anything,


but just so you know, octeo does feel mad, sad, and grieves just like all human beings do.







sorry you guys had to read that. enough. thank you dorcas for hosting us at your house for the bio pt sleepover, and dorcas' bro for helping us out with the techincal stuff, and valsoh and willette for all the effort you've put in to make the video a really nice and un-screwed one! (:
i still love poto. and i bought pokemon diamond and pearl, and the guide book, and got a two free dialgia and palkia NDS styluses. POKEMON POTO LOVE.

2 weeks ago I was this happy person frantically getting changed and ready to go watch poto.

today this person is frantically summarizing her research for the darned bio pt.
today this person is super not high cos there's gonna be a poto show at esplanade at 2pm and this person wishes she could go watch poto again, and for all the rest of the saturdays and sundays and mondays and tuesdays and wednesdays and thursdays and fridays and saturdays and sundays and mondays and tuesdays and wednesdays and thursdays and fridays and saturdays of this month and next month.
oh help i think i'm going mad soon.

biopt

gosh I realised how much I miss co and chuiguan. but then in a way the 2 weeks break from prac was super good, especially when you're rushing for time and almost at the point of breaking down sometimes.
pt weeks are always super emotional, you can see the words I WANT TO DIE written on everyone's faces and people are breaking down and stuff. this week is the hellish bio pt and geog sa week. geog was okay but then the thought of doing bio pt tomorrow... hmhm actually quite looking forward to it 'coz dorcas valsoh and maybe willette are gonna stay over at my place to chiong tomorrow!

today during hall assembly we saw something REALLY funnaye. THREE _ _ _. :D and xinqi and farizan were strangely high before geog test, during english. farizan kept laughing until her face was red all over and xinqi was very very random! the whole class was high the entire lesson, so you can imagine all the stress that's been accumulating inside us all this while. shimin was telling ms seto how teachers look like plumbers, and toto chan and all sorts of crazy stuff!
i <3 301 to bits!

well at least after this whole bio pt catastrophe is over there'll be no stupid tests or pts or everything. Lit pt, math pt, bio pt. WHAT'S NEXT MAN.

I WILL SURVIVE.
the thought of tiny little dorcas and willette getting flattened and squashed on my bed tomorrow night makes me go mad! and valsoh will never get squashed lar. haha.
and yes octeo is still very extremely POTO HIGH. octeo is looking for someone to go watch poto with her again so whoever wants to watch tell me okay! its the best musical in the world!
OH AND I WILL SURVIVE EVEN BETTER COS JIEYING'S SENDING ME PotO MOVIE SOUNDTRACK AND POKEMON DIAMOND/PEARL'S COMING OUT THIS SUNDAY!

darn it, can't go for church youth camp lar. ALL BECAUSE ITS IN JUNE AND IM GOING TO WALES BIO TRIP IN JUNE.
oh well, can't have the best of both worlds all the time right?
darn it. budden youth camp is the only camp I ever go for 'cos my family doesnt really go for church camp.
darn it why couldnt youth camp be in december like the past two years? I SHALL MISS EVERYONE SO VERY MUCH. this year had to be in june. june.
oh darn i'm mugging for geog test which is tomorrow, and bio pt research which we have to compile like TOMORROW as well. jiayou geog people and bio pt group!
darn sometimes life is hard. life is hard most of the time anyway. i must make sure i become a very slack old woman when I retire.

look on the bright side, i'm still PotO high!

library!

haha today was a super high and fun day.
oh yeah,
I LOVE POTO AND OLIVE OIL AND BOB THE BUILDER AND MORTIMER WEE :D
of course poto is <3 and forever will be!
today we had two wonderful free blocks, geog and social studies! During social studies we all went mad... valtan and company were playing hand games and cherades.. and valsoh willette dorcas and I were playing hand games too! POPEYE THE SAILORMAN! then we were trying to see who could act emo and pretend to cry. when I went out of the classroom I was all teary and fizzie and liy were super shocked! :D
skincare and makeup lesson was nice too, especially the shiseido goody bag and voucher! First time curling my eyelashes... the feeling was just weird, as if someone bent them and made them cover your eyes. All the while those curly eyelashes kept brushing against the lense of my specs.
After the lesson the four of us stayed at the foyer and took funkaye pictures! It's possible to squeeze four people into a camera phone photo.
AHA.
valsoh and I went to bugis for dinner, bought cheryl's present and went to the library opposite to do research for bio pt. GARN I think our subject combi's the worst of them all, since everything seems to clash. Lit pt, bio pt, math pt, geog SA coming up. WHAT NEXT?
The lee kong chian reference library is so huge and nice! We had to make one extra trip to the locker to put back some of our things cos they didn't allow plastic files or textbooks in. very strict one. So we spent two solid hours at the library frantically quoting books and flipping through the pages as quickly as we could.
We sat right next to the huge glass windows where we could just peer down at the nice view below anytime we wanted (: That was the best part of it! The library was soooooooo quiet that every little sound anyone made would be amplified by like 10 times!
and yes, there were very FUNNY sounds. *hints at valsoh :D :D :D
we got quite alot of good information from the library.. then we rushed all the way back to bugis cos my parents fetched us from there.
OH AND WE SAW POPEYE SHIRTS! popeye shirts leh! we should all buy popeye shirts and wear them for national day!

haha yay off to do chem now!

masterpiece!

warning: this is a high post related to PotO! :D

hah for the first time in ages I was slack on friday and saturday! friday willette dorcas and I stayed back to discuss some bio pt stuff and look for mr chia.. but instead of finding mr chia, we found ms seto! HAHA. Then we just stood outside the staff room and talked and talked and talked and talked about stuff like rj and prom and not having a life because of school and BOB THE BUILDER! haha wow that was loads of fun!

then yesterday I did abit of work but I gave up and went shopping at tm instead. After dinner we tried to look for some shoes for the wales trip, got a new pair of specs and went to sembawang cd shop! and then. just as we were leaving.
I SAW SOMETHING.
andrew lloyd webber's masterpiece! the one that was live in beijing!
okay it was a bit old but who cares it came with a DVD and CD!
I almost screamed in the cd shop! Then when I went to pay for the cd the guy at the counter looked at me like I was some crazy person. shrugs abourrit!

and the rest of the night was spent with my eyes glued to the tv screen watching masterpiece. the phantom overture was super! and the best of all was all I ask of you, coz raoul was in it! raoul is NICE! :D

okay need to sort out some chem stuff. REALLY need to sort out chem, since I don't quite understand the cheem stuff like mass spectrometer and ionization energy yet. oh well. phantom of the opera makes my day all day every single day!

wow. lit pt, math pt, chem SPA- they're all OVER.
haha must commend my lit group, they really really really did such a wonderful job to produce a thick and heavy 108-page editorial WHICH NEARLY WIPED OUT THE BLACK INK TANK OF MY PRINTER. (: all the staying up till the most unearthly hours of the morning paid off yeah? THANKYOUSOMUCH willette (CHIEF EDITOR!), xinqi, valsoh, waiian. and farizan too, for math pt!
IT'S BEEN LIKE FIVE DAYS BUT I'M STILL HIGH!
not exactly high, but very phanatical. I think I could watch phantom of the opera like 10 more times without getting bored! people who want to go watch POTO, COUNT ME IN!! hmhmm must ask ziyi to help me buy the complete musical soundtrack when she goes. i only have the highlights cd which isnt as complete as the complete musical soundtrack is.
I think I've listened to music of the night about 15 times per day already. while I was ransacking dad's huge cd drawer for the POTO movie dvd I came across this rather old vcd which was a compilation of the nice songs by sir andrew lloyd webber. super nice super nice! the best thing was that it had the jason donovan version of joseph so wahaha I spent like half an hour watching the vcd before realising that there was lots of work to chiong!
and I read the program booklet before I go to sleep for the past few nights.

hmmhmm today's my relax day! accomplished alot for pokemon mystery dungeon... finally recruited dratini! yay! but then my ds lite has run out of power so i'm charging the battery now.
these few days have been hard but high, especially yesterday and today.
during PE yesterday mr choo was half an hour late because of a talk, so we sat down and chatted like nobody's business for a long time. right in the middle of the parade square.
dorcas willette valsoh and I are going on a GOURMET HUNT during the hols!
coz we kept on talking about food and restaurants and ICE CREAM so we decided that we shall go on an islandwide gourmet hunt to try as much nice yummy food and ice cream as possible. INCLUDING MINIMELTS! hooray. and then today we decided that we shall be OPERA SINGERS ON A GOURMET HUNT coz out of the blue we started singing parts of schumann's fraunliebe und leben, which we learnt for goodness-knows-how-long last yr for MEP. schumann! gourmet! ICE CREAM!

phantom of the opera <3

OHGOODNESS what is octeo doing here blogging when there's so much work to do!
7 words.
I LOVE THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA. <3 x 10000000000000000000000!

yesterday went to watch the phantom of the opera at esplanade... mum dad and I were all super high!! even my dad who didn't really like spending money on souvenirs bought us the phantom mask and a PoTO keychain... SO COOL SO COOL SO COOL.
we were sitting quite in front so could see everything very clearly. then dad and I were like "eh how come got an ang moh woman standing right in front of the stage and we can only see her upper body?" haha.. after that we realised she was a conductor.. the theater was so nice and cold and the atmosphere is like whoa... so it added to our highness xD
better not spoil the fun for those who haven't gone for it yet... so i shall just write a leeeetttle abourrit!!
the starting part is quite like the movie... and the chandelier... the whole thing was so big and it flew on top of our head. the flashing lights and everything are really good too! haha the performers were all super especially the carlotta.. haha she's just as funny as the one in the movie! phantom and christine= pro and the raoul was really really chao1 ji2 wu2 di2 shuai4!
and music of the night was the best song and it forever will be. :D OH YEAH and valsoh was right, the phantom really flew! his balancing skills are pro, dont think I balance up there and sing pro-dedly at the same time!
during interval we bought something again. this time we bought the programme which was super informative and interesting.. and the quality of the photos in it was great.
dad was so naughty... pulled me along to walk right in front to have a look at the orchestra which was under the stage. But there was only one clarinet player practising down there.. After that people started crowding around to have a look! haha...
the ending part was also very nice... overall the whole musical was SUPER SUPER SUPER SUPER SUPER NICE!! my favourite musical besides joseph and the amazing technicolour dreamcoat. hah and then after the show ended, we were so high that we bought a phantom of the opera shirt!! IN FACT IM WEARING IT NOW!

and yeah to sum it all up,

good friday

today's good friday!!
haha this is like my first post after syf. willette and I suffering from post-SYF withdrawal symptoms like everyone else! it's like suddenly one whole big burden has been taken off you but at the same time it's as if some part of my life has suddenly become empty. two weeks without co can die lor. oh wells at least can use these two weeks to do lots and lots of work.
and there are so many things about syf prac i really miss!! like erm...
-singing the toxic song with crazy people like yixin last yr during prac!
-dingding taking all the gaoshengs and zhongshengs apart!
-dingding burning boya n yidan's nice black gaosheng!
-shaopians breaking every few weeks!
-THE MAKING OF BOSSELYN.
-THE MAKING OF CHEWVALINQIANTHERBOSSELYNDANYUWENTYNGDING! (thats sheng+suona names combined together!)
-THE MAKING OF ALL THOSE OTHER STUPID NICKNAMES! (skinny beany and carrot parrot and orange porridge and gummy yummy and fatty patty!)
-playing bridge during holiday prac and skipping all the way back from the bus stop in threes!
-zhongsuo people stoning or doing homework during liangfeng!
-boss and I doing the circle-conducting!! ehh we imitate wgy very well lor.
-chuiguan (especially zhongsuo okay) being tortured by wgy during pracs!
-the squeaky noises during man ban!
-sitting behind dizi people and watching them bounce!
-father mother express!
-watching charlie's angels and counting PACKS! we never saw six packs unfortunately.
-going to and fro in the shared classroom to get lulaoshi to sign activity and house card at the CORRECT line.
-toilet racing and the super long chain and BURN! and jiaqian becoming bimbo and laoxiang and bobo and so many more!

yeahh looking back, syf prac was so super fun! really really bonded with everyone and of course with morpeng shiny and wenting (the zhongsuos!)!! wells my second syf (the first one being in pri sch) was great! <3<3<3
withdrawal symptoms MUST GO AWAY.

yesterday went home with valsoh... first time going back frm school by public transport so late in the afternoon. we went to eat tako balls (as usual!!) and valsoh bought bday present for her friend... lucky valsoh got to watch phantom of the opera last night AND I HAVE TO WAIT TILL SATURDAY watch. ehh that's tomorrow! haha yay. I heard the phantom sings really well! can't wait!
went to sungei buloh with my parents today! it's alot like khatib bongsu but the roads are much nicer to walk on and the experience is more rewarding... can't believe we actually spent almost half an hour watching the tide come in and silver jumping fish!! oh yeah we also saw four monitor lizards, three squirrels and lots of birds. the only scary part of it was the hornets and spiders... think i have arachnophobia LOL! like ron weasley. :D then we had a picnic at kranji beach which was super nice and we could see malaysia from there! at least i get to see malaysia for real since i've never been there before and probably won't get to go there at all... i <3 my parents to bits!
aiyahh die lar got so much work to do! it's impossible to list down all the work I have to complete but then oh well at least I enjoyed the morning of good friday! hah!

SYF!

FINALLY.
after months of prac-ing prac-ing and more prac-ing,
TODAY WAS THE BIG DAY!
haha yeah mind you this will be a rather short post because octeo is currently chionging four different stupid subjects and is running very short of time. but I must blog about today because today's the day we had syf and that's a really really memorable day! hohoho.
so anyway!
it was really different from the SYF experience I had in pri6, when I was in guzheng ensemble. That one was MUCH MUCH MUCH less nerve-wracking than today's syf.
We had a few more rounds of prac early in the morning and there were so many teachers who came in to look! Alot of seniors came back too. JIALI & FIONA!!!!!!
Okay so being the noisy crazy bunch of zhongsuo people, wenting jiaqian and I officially named our zhongsuos! wenting's is called shiny 'cos it's really new and shiny (thanks to her polishing skills), jiaqian's is named after wenting for some strange jiaqian-ish reason and mine is called mor-peng. Hello, meet mor-peng the zhongsuo. If you're wondering why it has such an ugly weird name go check out its horn. The whole horn is rusty and dented (dingdinglaoshi had to use a broomstick to get rid of the dents) and no matter how hard I polished it, the rust didn't come off! And it's covered in scotchtape cos the metal parts are all falling off. to sum it all up, my zhongsuo's falling apart but its my pride and joy!!! wahoo!
yeahhhh just before we were going up to wait for our turn, I started worrying. what if my yin zhun goes terribly wrong. what if I screw up the man ban? what if my shaopian bursts open again? Wasn't feeling that scared until I walked up to that seemingly super-super-super-high platform. Seeing the judges sitting there in such a comfortable position made me realise that this was like a competition. and so halfway through liangfeng my hands started sweating so profusely I had to constantly wipe them on my blazer while sucking my shaopian. There was a little messy part during the kuai ban (wenting jiaqian and I were staring at each other in horror when we heard it) but tanbo managed it very very well. and yongzhu's solo was GREAT! takes alot of courage to blow like that in front of so many people with just a simple quiet accompaniment backing you up. and then after watching yongzhu, i realised that..
any bloopers I made in the manban solo would be heard. very very distinctly.
yeahh so hands got even sweatier and everything... in my opinion changdi was good! It was really one of those rare occasions where the three of us get our pitch really perfect and it sounded so unified and everything. (:
wenting and I were staring at each other during the start of the manban part, like we were communicating with psychic powers or something. okay. her look of encouragement when I was nervously sucking my shaopian made me soooooo gan3 dong4!! haha yay i did it! didn't screw manban at all! Was so scared that I'd make a squeaky noise instead of playing my parts and at that moment I felt like I wasn't doing anything at all! hahal. man ban, octeo conquers you.
the last parts of changdi were very good too. like you can see all the sections moving quite synchro and everything... the feeling was super nice. then at the end i managed to do dan tu properly! after one whole year and I get the dan tu right on syf itself! blahhh.

yeahh then back in school willette dorcas and I were so worried and anxious to find out the results.. alot of schools got silver i think, and bronze for the previous day. WE GOT GOLD! (:

received sooooo many wonderful notes and sweets and words of encouragement and huggggs today! feel so happy for the results. some people may be unhappy or contented with the results, but for me I think it was really worth the effort!!!! and rgco and chuiguan is LOVE! <3<3<3<3
