elements day

I was reading Annie's blog archives just now. And to think I was multi-tasking! I was actually discussing CAP stuff with kayleigh!
I feel very blessed.
coz i've got so many friends by my side and my loving parents (who stay up as late as I am because they say they can't sleep if i'm still awake) and church where I can fellowship!
And of course, school.
I shudder to think what I'll turn into if I didn't have school. I'd be a bored old bore and I'd probably end up as an anti-social freak.
SCHOOL.
The most stressing, yet fun-tastical place anyone could go to.
Today was a VERY GOOD SCHOOL DAY. Mrs koh gave us five minutes to share the most enjoyable thing we did during the holidays. Having been dismissed the so-called ridiculous idea of going on a single holiday during the June hols (dad's too busy, mum has to go back to conduct classes and BOTH think that going on holidays are expensive.), I decided that the most enjoyable thing I did was GOING TO VALSOH'S HOUSE! Actually, there were a lot more fun things (like going for yian's recital, chatting on msn, waking up at 11am, playing pokemon for six hours straight, etc) I did. Just that they didn't cross my mind at that time.
Valsoh and I sat ourselves comfortably at some squashy furry chairs in the library and did our geography. HOORAY. library time with squiddy makes me high :) thanks for being a good friend squiddy X)
Aida and Weesian are both driving me nuts. Especially Aida. We decided to mime the actions for nursery rhymes while weesian sang the songs out loud. We were doing the "Little Indian Boys" song.
The best part of today was RECESS.
Willette and dorcas became HIGH at dangerously HIGH LEVELS, especially willette. Dorcas seems low but in actual fact she's high most of the time. First we started talking about philo.
Me: "EHH starting philo later leh!!!!"
Valsoh: "yarr i know you can't wait hor."
Me: "Let's vote willette for Philo Rep!"
Willette: "OI i told you already ah, I DONT WANT! Really leh if you like that then I don't wanna talk to you anymore!"
Dorcas: rant rant rant
Me: rant rant rant
Valsoh: (referring to willette) WOW. She's the man!
Me: "Okay okay! Willette! You're the man! I won't vote you as philo rep liao ok!"
Dorcas: (referring to me) "Whoa... He's the woman!"
THEN, valsoh took out her chem assignment and started referring to my answers.
Dorcas: "Wah, pro man! Still haven't do yet arh!"
Willette: "So late already still haven't hand in!"
Valsoh: "It's never too late!"
HAHAHAHA.
So we started talking about being stupid.
Me: "Ah Gong (annie) and Ah Ma (kiwan) are both very smart leh."
Willette: "ya hor. How come we all so stupid one?!"
valsoh: "recessive genes. Willette got recessive genes from ah gong and ah ma! (coz willette's supposed to be annie and kiwan's daughter, and i'm willette's husband)"
dorcas clobbers willette repeatedly on the head.
Me: "You know what? Ah gong has TALL CHROMOSOMES. That's why he's so tall. And ah gong's brain cells are tall. That's why ah gong is so smart."
everyone goes crazy. We decided to talk about the Radioactive Isotope assignment on the way up to our classroom.
Dorcas introduces herself as a very distinguished, classy Xenon atom.
Willette and valsoh became carbon-12 and carbon-14.
AND GUESS WHAT I BECAME.
a VALENCE shell.
I'm supposed to revolve round and round valsoh and willette. Valsoh and willette are joined together in a VERY WEIRD BOND.
When we went back up to class, Kiwan became KILLIUM. Dorcas is DORLLIUM, Willette's WILLIUM, and valsoh and I are both VALLIUM, i suppose. Then I thought of something nice.
"ANEMONIUM!"
Annie looked up. HOORAY GRANDPA ISN'T THAT OLD COZ AT LEAST HE RESPONDED TO HIS NEW NICKNAME. clever grandpa.
I changed anemonium to ammonia. Just that annie the ammonia doesn't stink the way ammonia does :)
Then, we played a funtastic game of LAO YING ZHUO XIAO JI (Translation: Old Eagle Catches Little Chickens). Willette and valsoh were hiding behind me because I was the "Mother Chicken", which meant that I had to protect willette and valsoh from getting caught by Dorcas, who was the eagle. DORCAS YOUR ARMS ARE TOO SHORT FOR MY LONG ARMS.
dorcas makes a funky eagle, and I can't imagine how many times I stepped on valsoh and willettes' feet.

valsoh loves mrs koh and geography.
OH HOW I LOVE THE SEAFOOD FAMILY AND OUR CRAZINESS!

I'm trying hard to finish up my homework. Well actually I have, but i'm trying to mug.
The most enjoyable thing i did since monday was watching spirited away on monday. After getting it back from lulu (thanks lulu!) i decided to watch just a little bit of it after my piano lesson on monday. haha.
The teletubbies have been seperated! No more chiobu, no more michy, no more gracie, no more jingwei (who isn't an original teletubby) and worst of all, NO MORE VALSOH! my squiddy! ARRRGH! I guess all good things must come to an end. Now i'm sitting with weesian, aida and fizzie... and they're all super fun!
But i'll miss the teletubbies dearly!
It was chiobu's singing and hilarious antics,
Squiddy's poems and cookies and of course her super-stoning power,
Michy's craziness and kemama jokes,
Gracie's ummu shong-ness and occassional insane outbursts and jokes and LOTS OF HELP FROM HER FOR MATH AND SCIENCE and everything,
even jingwei's quantum theories and skateboarding lectures.
it was that spastic funny cute song we made for History- the war war war war war in singaore song, and well I guess EVERYTHING,
that kept me going on happy and strong in school.

I'm so dead! I've got LOADS of homework to complete today.

Well yeah basically that's it. Shall aim to complete my acrostic poem and si han before I go for my compulsory piano gathering later. SIGH.
I wasted the whole of yesterday watching the "any dream will do" MV over and over again and studying all the arguments for and against Winston Churchill and memorising the criteria for history SBQ and doing my history FA. SIGH.

Since my birthday's in like two month's time, I will be stupid and make a little wishlist.

haha

i went to help out at the childcare centre for SL.
it was fun, it was scary, it was tiring, it wasn't very fun sometimes.
i'm exhausted and i've still got tons to do. well at least i've finished WGP liao yay.
today i'm gonna finish up that half-done history FA and chem assignment and acoustic poem, no matter what.
i'm in love with the musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat! It's another andrew lloyd webber musical so of course it ROCKS. just like phantom of the opera!
I've stopped playing pokemon for a little while just so I can finish reading the second book in the english book list, entitled Saving Fish From Drowning by amy tan. So well then I better go!
darn, it's still two whole months to my birthday!

spent nearly the whole of thursday and friday and yesterday calling and liaising with the group members who were supposed to go down to help today and tomorrow.

people in my SL group, please try and have the initiative to call/sms/email me, dorcas and the two leaders instead of having to wait for me to call you to ask when you all want to go down to help out at the childcare centre. This is about team work, not on relying on one or a few persons to do the job. Everyone pls contribute a little bit! No matter how big or small the contribution is, your co-operation would be greatly appreciated.
I really can't be doing everything myself...

Well, no. But the most recent dream I had was a nightmare. Dreamt that my five-year-old cousin tore up my With Great Pleasure cover page, which I took a total of nineteen hours to complete. The most common things I dream about are kemama, valsoh and my house. :)

When my grandma accidentally used the gents instead of the ladies when we went out just now.

Photographs! A photo of my mom at her yellow house swim carnival, a photo of me receiving a prize in pri 5, a photo of me and my guzheng, two SYF photos, a photo of my mum and her colleauges, three photos of me performing in my pri school for teacher's day last year, a certificate of excellence, a motivational poster, a hello kitty clock and my twelve-year-old air-conditioner (this is the study room, not my room!).
13) Seen anything weird lately?
OF COURSE. Yesterday I went to Sentosa for my church's youth group outing. Kenneth and I were queueing up at coffee bean with two other guys (darren and someone) when suddenly this fat little boy pushed me on the butt and pushed darren's thighs without saying excuse me. He was trying to get to the other side of the shop but we were blocking him. And he kept pushing darren and I until we got really pissed. Finally the boy gave us a hard push and he fell and hurt his knee. Serve him right. HAHAHA. His mum was like super irresponsible. She saw the whole commotion but she simply stared at us with a sickening smile on her face. That's a weird parent with a weird child.

She's The Man. it's wonderful! AMANDA BYNES ROCKS! really! Coz when I was nine, I went to australia for holiday and while watching tv in the hotel room I chanced upon The Amanda Show. I fell so deeply in love with the show that the moment I got home, I begged mum to subscribe to starhub cable tv so I could watch amanda on nickelodeon. :)
16) If you become a multi-millionare overnight, what would you buy?
I'd build protective evacuation shelters for everyone who's at risk of earthquakes and other natural disasters. I'd buy Nintendo Gamecube, Pokemon Colosseum, Gale of Darkness, Nintendo DS, XBox 360 and a trip to Disneyland Orlando with my parents! Oh and i'd tithe loads of money to help the missionaries my church is supporting financially now.

I only sing Kiss Goodbye, Gai Shi Ying Xiong, Xiang Xin Yong Yuan and a few 5566 songs in the bath. I play gameboy while blowing my hair. :)

banana gang

right, then.
BANANA GANG OUTING.
well this is bad. Leng can't join us for this month's outing coz she's busy. VERY BUSY. got dental appointment and band and etc etc. Oh well then it's just the three of us then. A bowl of fruits without a banana sounds really sad though.
Perhaps we shouldn't go to bukit batok CSC to swim without banana! Hmmm why don't we go for a movie, take neos then come to my place to film the second part of the chronicles of susu and papaya. See banana we're nice people and we shall wait until perhaps august or september to go swimming in the colossal swimming pool at bukit batok and bowl there!
banana gang! I miss all of you! I miss all the nonsense stuff we came up with! Like the chronicles of susu and papaya and millions and millions of nicknames! Agogo has a shop called YA YING PEANUT BUTTER TOAST. Baofang and I set up an insurance agency under the crazy bennifer vennifer yennifer and lennifer nicknames we came up with. So our insurance agency's name is "Benni-vennifer Insurance Agency". Christina banana is our only shareholder! And agogo has to buy insurance for her shop. haha.
Well basically there are four of us. Yiying, yunleng, baofang and I. When yiying started going to church with me we became best friends and I've been calling her agogo and she's been calling me val ever since! well... Then my pri 6 teacher made leng sit with me because she had been playing with some strip during her lesson. And then leng kept boring me with stories of 5566 (i still didn't like 5566 that time) and when she borrowed a pen from me we both sort of opened up and became best buds too (: AHAHAHA the funniest one is baofang but it's really really a SECRET how the three of us became besties with baofang so if you want you have to ask fang herself! SO it started out as leng being Christina Banana (i started calling her that coz but she preferred being christine). So the rest of us found fruity names which rhymed with our names so agogo became Agogo Mango, i became strawberry and fang became kiwi.
and THEN i think baofang started the bennifer nicknames this year. I love you banana gang!
How i wish we could all be in the same school. But that's impossible. SIGH.

pokemon!

ahhhh woots i feel as if someone has just poured a bucket full of joy over my head. X)
Mum bought me the ultimate pokemon sticker book which came with a packet of 10 pokemon stickers. And I bought three more packets. I think I shall buy three more on Sunday hehehx.
Yesterday I went exploring in Seafoam Islands and surprisingly i managed to capture Articuno with just less than 20 great balls. I happened to be picking my teeth while I threw that wonderful great ball and I wasn't expecting Articuno to give up that easily. The great ball moved for a while and finally it stopped! I was so overjoyed (and relieved) that I started screaming and accidentally knocked one of my braces which made a little marking on my lips for a while. HOORAY I've caught all the legendary pokemon except suicune. wonder where it could be.
I was feeling rather pokemaniac-ish today so I rummaged the VCD box until I found my three pokemon movies and an episode called Fashion Flash. I think that's the episode when a breeder named Susie gave Brock her vulpix. And the episode before that was when Misty got her psyduck. AHAHA my aunt used to imitate psyduck 'coz there was a period of time when my cousin and I were in a real pokemon craze and we started buying loads of pokemon figurines. Heehee now i've got one whole bag full of all 151 kanto pokemon and about 100+ johto pokemon. Sorry, no hoenn pokemon. hahaha. I stopped collecting when I was in primary 5, partly because the pasar malams and department stores weren't selling those same plastic figurines anymore. Now they only sell a select few of hoenn pokemon which are mostly the more famous legendary pokemon like latias and latios and kyogre and groudon. ARGH MUMMY I WANT THAT LATIOS AND LATIAS PLUSHIE. actually she agreed to buy for me but they were so expensive so I thought it would be better to spend it on my precious stickers. heh. I still have that huge round togepi plushie sitting in the cupboard along with my powerpuff girls and mojo-jojo.
OHO yes kenneth keeps asking me to help him solve the tanoby key boulder puzzle. Shall help him tomorrow when we go to sentosa for church youth outing. KENNETH YOU OWE ME A CHANSEY.

randomness of life

it's time to reflect on the randomness of life.
After a little bit of blog surfing, i realized that i've lost touch with nearly all my RSS friends. Sure, i've added them on msn but we don't communicate at all. The only people i've been keeping in touch with are the banana gang, gordon, wen tian xiang and the guzheng people. And some other people. That's about it.
Strange how life is like? I thought RSS was the world to me when i was once there, and although it doesn't seem very much like the world to me right now, it still remains as a special part of my life coz of all the memorable stuff I experienced there- patrolling the canteen during my prefect duty, competing to get top 10 in standard, running over to my mum's table in the staff room to meet her after school, winning storytelling competitions and of course clinching the gold award for SYF guzheng ensemble.
Life seemed to just turn around.
I never went to our pri 6 class gatherings. Well I did go for one, but I had quite an okay time there. Just couldn't seem to click with the class then.
I feel like i'm in a whole new world in rgs. a world of happiness and freedom and stress and PTs. Got new wonderful friends and teachers and everything. My life turned around.
And definitely I embraced my teenage life with open arms.

Don't you find that different parents have different restrictions?
I was never allowed to play anything at the arcade (especially not in front of my dad he thinks it's a waste of money). "Got playstation, got dance mat (yes, just like the para para machine in the arcades), got so many gameboy, got dog! Why should you have a reason to go to the arcade?! Play your pokemon at home better!" Well I guess now this little rule has been bent a little because every time I go out with gordon he likes playing the driving games in the arcade. So now as long as I don't play any of the games I'm still allowed to go to the arcade. Honestly i prefer playing gameboy at home.
Thank God my parents have no qualms about me getting a less-than 3.6 GPA. Mum was a little concerned when I failed math in term 1 but I got a tutor and i passed math in term 2!
Mum knows I just can't do History (having obtained a miserable 5/10 or 5/9 for every single history test in my life) and she doesn't mind. "Aiyah, just don't take History in Sec 3 lah! But if you really like it then you should take..." Yay. I shall not take History then. My ideal subject combi would be either triple science+ literature OR double science+ geog and literature but definitely no history in the menu, please.

AND FINALLY, A POKEMON UPDATE!
I am pleased to announce that after a very looooooooooooong delay of three months, I have finally captured mewtwo and zapdos and moltres in pokemon leaf green! AHAHAHA and I have the ultimate forms of all three starter pokemon- venusaur, charizard and blastoise. Shan't tell how I did it but actually the method's pretty simple once you get it. The only bad thing about this is that two gameboy advances are required so I had to use my old old gameboy advance and my advance sp to get all three pokemon. HEH.
I've never really expored seafoam islands but I think the pushing the boulders to direct the sea current is fun! But since there's not many pokemon to catch in there (other than seel and a few others) I had to buy twenty max repels to use in there.
Kenneth's gonna breed a chansey for me. His chansey recently evolved into blissey at level 62 (WAHOO CONGRATS KELLY!). So instead of spending loads of time trying to find and catch the elusive chansey why not just get kenneth to breed one for me? I have to breed a tyrogue for him in return GRARH.
AH my holiday "assignment" was to try and evolve my two tyrogues into a hitmonlee and hitmontop. So I spent hundreds of thousands on proteins to balance the attack and defense status of my tyrogue. And it did evolve into hitmontop! So i now i have hitmonlee, hitmontop and hitmonchan (given by the fighting dojo at saffron city).

french kiss

i'm just taking a break from annotating my very last poem for the lit anthology. Still have to paint the cover page. GRARH.
i'm so nervous! my piano teacher's conducting her annual piano workshop next friday and ALL the students from grade 5 onwards have to play their exam pieces! Heh at least the ATCL students and i get to play only one song (which is like 7 minutes long, hurhur) but those in grade 5-8 have to play ALL THREE EXAM PIECES muahahaha! yayy i'll finally get to hear my chiobu cousin jasmine play her ATCL dip song! I have to play Novelletten in F major by Schumann which I, unfortunately, had only learnt very recently (like 3 months ago. is that recent?).
By the end of the song, i'll be dripping with sweat. the song is super tiring and i bet you can lose some calories by practising it for only 1 hour! bleh.
i shall answer tags now.

Outing with the guzheng gang!

And also just returned from a fantastic outing with some of the old guzheng gang- mok, elizabeth, yingzi. EEH so few people! Well actually more people were supposed to come but due to whatever unforeseen circumstances they couldn't make it today. :)
Thank God we arrived at Escape Theme Park at around 10.30am because it started pouring from about 12.30 onwards. OH YES my maid, aisha, went along too. Aisha agreed to work for us for another 2 more years (since her contract expires this November) and mum was so pleased she promised to give Aisha 10 outing days with me and $20 to spend for each outing. yupyup.
Aisha was so daring. She usually speaks in a trembling tremolo voice and you can actually see her lips quiver when she speaks to you. WELL BUT SHE HAS A LOUD VOICE whenever she's talking excitedly about 5566 or stuff that she likes. But she took the flipper with yingzi! mok eliz and i were like, "no no no, we don't wanna fall off that thing!"
Next was the Haunted House! We were all so scared that we were clinging to each other and the moment we heard this sharp knocking noise and some deep laughter at the dark entrance, we all screamed and ran out of the haunted house (from the ENTRANCE)! In the end we had to queue up again and this time I went in first with mok. We all explored that haunted house huddled together and aisha said she shut her eyes throughout the whole journey! Actually it wasn't very frightening because the ghostly beings were just gory frankenstein-like ghosts and a hantu and some other scary props. But the atmosphere was SCARY. There was actually "fog" billowing out of the floor in one of the prison cells in the haunted house.
Later we took the Rainbow ride twice, a swing on the pirate ship and of course the wet and wild log ride. Took the log ride with yingzi and she made me sit in the front! Well sitting in the front has its advantages. I didn't get really wet but those who sat at the back did! And I managed to pose for the camera as we were sliding down the huge slide.
THEN it started to rain so we went to the haunted house again, looked at the carnival games and had lunch at Burger King. We drove the go-karts and when the ride ended it started to rain AGAIN! irritating rain! Mok yingzi and eliz went to tampines mall while aisha and I hung around at Downtown East. The rain seemed to have stopped so aisha and I ran back to escape but to our dismay it started raining AGAIN. So aisha and I just sat at one of the wooden benches and started talking about the number of siblings she had (EIGHT SIBLINGS LEH) and I found that her family was humungous! NINE CHILDREN. oh my! that's THREE TIMES the size of my small little family. X)
Aisha and I decided to have a go at the carnival games and we managed to win THREE unicorn plushies at the pinball game and a giraffe plushie at the water-gun game. Aisha's really good at the games.. she helped me win my blue unicorn!
BAO FANG I'M GOING TO GIVE YOU THAT LONG-AWAITED UNICORN DURING OUR NEXT BANANA MEETING. :D
we went to the Haunted House one last time before going home and this time it was scary. There was this woman totally clad in white and a man who disguised himself in black who came to scare us. Aisha kept screaming and well I told the man that he was very handsome. In fact the girls behind us were calling them CHIOBU and SHUAIGE. eeeh.
yay i love today! and tomorrow's going to be just as fun coz i'm gonna watch She's the Man with gordon!!! X) X) X)

my love for CDs!

Collecting chinese music CDs is my favourite hobby! hmmhmm yes this is my 5566 CD collection. Actually i've got two versions of the first and second album and THREE versions of the latest album (hao2 jiu3 bu4 jian4). And their 2003 and 2004 concert DVDs.

and THIS is my beloved j-stars CD collection! haha. got typhoon, 183 Club, 7 flowers and K-One. heehee actually there's A LOT more like ai de qi ji and the recently released magicians of love soundtrack by 183 Club :)

AHHHHH I am simply sharing photos here to while my time and boredom away. Last night I was doing paper mache for my lit and finished only the FRONT page in 2 solid hours. I'm going to engage myself in more enjoyable activities this week for sure. ARGH and calling all you seafood family members! We need to do our filming some time this week if possible!! :D

Eddy!

This is EDDY the red lobster. Isn't he cute?!!! Ang ku kueh bought it for me when she went to the mall of America for OM. Hooray for eddy, hooray for sea creatures across the globe!
I just returned from my monthly trip to the dentist and now my teeth are dotted with orange and DARK PURPLE braces!
I shan't digress any longer and proceed back to the topic of EDDY THE LOBSTER. With a bit of help from michy I decided to call this cuddly crustacean EDDY! Eddy is short for edison, by the way. giggle. michelle you perfectly know who EDISON is don't you?
A casual chat on msn a few days ago led me to think about all the stuffed toys in my room. X)
What do I have in my room then? let's see...
On my bed- poncho the grey dog who wears a golfer's hat and suit, a mr bean bear called teddy, a scooby doo plushie and of course EDDY! :)
On my bedside table- a small crocodile called crocky, a big rotund crocodile called croco, a tatty bear birthday cake plushie called tatty, a very tiny crocodile called croc, a fat crocodile money bank called CHRISTINA (named after my best fren christina banana), small spongebob, sandy and squidward plushies, a small mr bean bear called small teddy, a moriji orange boy called melon, flippy the dog (a gift from the spices for my bdae! nad's is a rabbit named FLOPPY), coconut the turtle (nad's is called squirt!), peanut the baby turtle and...

.... and my most precious 5566 action figures! (erm abit too kua zhang liao, where got action?!) christina banana has the same figurines too. from left to right: rio, sam, tony, zax, jason. <3<3

And on the bench in my room I still have my dad's spongebob plushie, my BIG spongebob plushie, and a soft piggy beanie croco gave me loooong ago. :D :D :D :D
