yaaaaaaang

i've always wondered.
what would I be if you were still my piano teacher?
yang lao shi. probably one of the persons whom I respect the most.
Elite Park Avenue. how i loved that road.
Mum would drive past your house and turn into our favourite little spot where we'd park the car. And i'd be hurriedly gathering my piano books- Czerny, Hanon, JS Bach, Burgmuller, Fur Elise, Sonatina Album. and that old yellow photocopied Russian piano guide.
Mum and i would cross the road to get to your house. We'd ring on your doorbell and usually your husband opened the door for us. Leo the dog would be there, bouncing and prancing and jumping around. That's probably why I decided to get myself a dog two years later.
The four-wheel drive would always be parked in the driveway. The house was kind of dark and quiet, and while waiting for you mum and I would watch those Chinese programs on tv with the dog licking me everywhere.
That flight of stairs. in all those years when I was your student, never once have I ascended those seemingly creepy flight of stairs. But i was always curious to find out what was up there.
The door near the living room creaks open. good afternoon, yang lao shi.
I don't know what, but i've always liked something about you. 'Cause you were sort of my distant relative, your husband was my grandma's cousin or something... Mum would say goodbye to me while I followed you into the piano studio. Then i'd fish out all my piano books and begin the LOOOOOOOONG lesson. i love your grand piano! it rawwwks :D
After exercising my fingers, it's time for theory lesson. but i'd rather not talk about it. HEH.
but what would you think of me now? it's been over four years since I last saw you... I always have this urge to visit you, but I can't bring myself to do so. I feel really sad that you're not my piano teacher anymore, you were really one of the greatest around here. But i MUST visit you one day. And i'm gonna show you that i HAVE improved over the course of four years. your effort has will never ever go to waste.

pokemon ROCKS.

this morning, when my abra evolved into kadabra, i recalled something about my aunt telling my mom that kadabra had the satanic pentagram, satanic salute, blah blah blah. OHkay. that was like AGES ago.
pokemon is satanic? come on! I've been playing pokemon for as long as I can remember and what has become of me now? a NORMAL person. and i'm a christian. pokemon doesn't have a single effect on my faith or anything! neither has it affected my cousins and church friends! not at all! I collect the cards, i hang all sorts of giant pokemon posters on my wall (my mom thinks im childish), I've collected around 230 plus pokemon plastic figurines, i've got a collection of pokemon VCDs and three of the movies, story books, colouring books, manga, guide books and OF COURSE i've got every single version of the pokemon games. I have been juggling pokemon with my studies, music lessons and everything and i'm alright now. i've always been alright anyway.
Not ALL the pokemon figurines are UGLY. It really depends on your opinion on WHICH pokemon is ugly. Probably some people think Gyarados and Muk and Onix are ugly, but i think gyarados is beautiful. powerful and beautiful. HAHA. About this abra kadabra alakazam business, it's not much of a big deal. Come on, I always use Alakazam or Kadabra or Hypno as one of the six pokemon in my party. [my team MUST have psychic pokemon!!!] And i'm not satanic. Then there was something about three pokemon which sprouted horns. OH, MAN. Rhydon, Rhyhorn, Nidorino, Nidorina, heracross, etc. Don't rhinos have horns?
-_-
diaoz.
all i can say is.
this is going a bit too far. It's JUST a game, JUST a tv show, what for get all obssessed over it? Anyway they missed out one part- Pokemon need lots of love and care from their trainers to grow. and the show IS filled with love. Especially the pikachu's goodbye episode and the other one where pikachu got amnesia. i totally cried throughout the whole show. :D

-_- sick

-_-" i am sick. got fever and flu again. OH DARN! why am I so sickly nowadays? [work too hard. AN OVERDOSE OF GEOG]
heh, nevertheless today was super fun. FULL of laughs and laughs and nothing but laughs! :)
we came up with a couple of hilarious ummu cheers (to show how much we love her) and hand games! gosh, I sound like we're all in primary two... still playing hand games... Speech and Drama was the best! Coz audreychen was away in Malaysia with some of her ELDS girls, so we sort of got a whole free period! mushlette [willette=mushroom=mushlette] and squiderie [valerie soh=squid=squiderie] completed our science folders and played some more hand games.
Computer studies. hmm. i think our current teacher is the nicest com studs teacher so far! The seafood family is SOOO united during com studs! we all had Family Reunion Recess together and willette and I shared a plate of mee rebus and a piece of toast left over from this morning's breakfast! ah yay willette you are the best wife a man could ask for..
during com studs we all went totally wild. here's some of the things we SEAFOOD family do!
1) The Indian Song
One little two little three little indians, four little five little six little indians, seven little eight little nine little indians, ten little indian boys.
valsoh, wil, dorcas and i came up with this little game to while our time away... We sit in a circle and sing the song. HOWEVER each person sings only ONE WORD at a time. like this.
valsoh says: one. wil says: little. me says: two dorcas says: little valsoh says: three wil says: little me says: indians
and so on. VERY fun game. unfortunately we were singing it on the way up when we met mrs bala (the maths pro teacher). She cast us a skeptical look when she heard us singing "INDIANS".
2) Filing for divorces
willette is a super jealous and possessive wife. but very wonderful and sacrificial too. And i am a flamboyant, fickle-minded, flirtatious HUSBAND. So whenever I dump wil for liangzi or xiaoyan or other girls, willette files for a divorce. She has SOOO many lawyers that I've lost count. but we always reconcile one. HEEHEE.
3) Cherade-ing
Yup com studs is the best time to play cherades! We'll all sit in exactly the same position and pose and it's super cute! most of time we end up laughing like mad.

Ah, the euphoria from com studs hasn't died off yet. In fact willette thinks i'm a crybaby because almost everyday, I laugh until I cry! adios!

high~

im so high today! whee!
mich and valsoh and I met misstay at the canteen. too bad michy was too shy to talk to misstay so in the end I dragged valsoh along to talk. TALK.
but i'm not looking forward to tomorrow. hAiz. xiaoyan's migrating to Houston, USA, and now the lulu lili and lala trio is gonna be S E P E R A T E D. ah well at least i still have lulu. Remember the time when xiaoyan kept laughing during history lesson? Pretty soon everyone sitting around her was laughing along with her, for no apparent reason at all! i'm gonna miss xiaoyan's craziness a lot.
i bought a link cable for GBA and pokemon FIRE RED on saturday, but haven't really got the chance to play fire red yet. Still working on filling up the leaf green kanto pokedex. i shall fill up the national pokedex when I get pokemon colosseum and gamecube later. (: I can't believe it. I got all three Kanto starter pokemon in leaf green coz I traded charmander and squirtle over from fire red... then restarted the fire red game TWICE. all that trouble for two more rare pokemon. woots! after training my squirtle from level 6, it has finally evolved into a Blastoise! im feeling too ecstatic right now (even though there's a whole pile of homework waiting to be completed)!!
It's a crying shame that I'm not very good at humanities (except literature). I don't like one single bit of geography but I like history quite a lot. Too bad I don't have a flair for even just history... Oh well I guess i'm better at english and jap and literature.
Oooh i've just finished reading my monthly supplement- J-Star magazine!! this month's issue is interesting! and 5566 LOOKS HOT IN EVERY SINGLE ISSUE. X)

colonel bogey

MEP medley! whoa. i've been trying to memorise the whole xylophone part of the medley for two days. And i'm still stuck at the last page. X)
cherelle sent me this cool mew glitch [I LOVE YOU CHERELLE!] so i guess i have to restart my pokemon red and blue to catch mew. gwaaahh.
I have been pokemon-ing obessesively all morning (and for a pretty good reason)... Spent the whole morning catching almost all the unown in the tanoby chambers and it took me fifteen minutes to find alphabet K unown. and then I got so exasperated trying to find the E unown in weepth chamber. OHMAN but at least I managed to hatch my igglybuff and cleffa, i've also been spending a bomb on breeding my pokemon. I LOVE DITTO! ditto makes breeding a lot easier. hehx. still got to breed two more tyrogues, a smoochum and four eevees... LOL im so busy!
OH yeah. Mom surprised me this morning. Before she left for dad's factory (to see how dad made lipstick) she slipped some money under my gameboy and told me to go buy a link cable and nintendo game cube! yay three cheers for mom! :)
but most probably I won't buy a gamecube until the EOYs are over. and THEN i still have to buy pokemon colosseum so I can snag some pokemon and trade them over to my leaf green.
i have a large shopping list:
-buy a link cable
-buy pokemon ruby
-buy pokemon fire-red
-buy nintendo game cube
-buy pokemon colosseum
-buy a new digital camera
-buy a video camera
-AND buy my lunch from KFC today. HAHAHA.
too bad. mom says I can buy either nintendo game cube OR a xbox. better buy nintendo game cube so I can complete my pokedex! :)

oh

should I tell you all what dear squiddy val soh did on friday, just before English? yes, i should. HAHA. sorry val I'm being a bad bad father eh.
The scorching sun beat down relentlessly on the ground, its rays cast down in all directions. Valsoh and Valteo were tanning themselves right outside their classroom at the common corridor. Their English teacher hadn't arrived for her lesson yet and the class was enjoying the little time they had to talk. The two tentacled beasts of the sea [US we are OCTOPUS AND SQUID!] leaned against the railings, staring at the ground below wearily. Valsoh sighs heavily and drawls, " I want to jump down [COMMIT SUICIDE?!]..."
"Me tooooo..." Valteo groans.
"Why do you want to commit suicide?"
SILENCE.
Valteo hears the dreaded pounding of footsteps and high-heeled shoes at the stairs nearby.
Sigh.
"Why do YOU wanna jump down then?" Valteo asks her partner curiously.
Valteo sees some hair emerging from the staircase. Two clumps of charcoal-black hair, in fact.
Sigh.
"Because.."
Valteo sees the clumps of hair, hears the crescendo-ing footsteps and sees her english teacher's torso appearing from the stairs.
Sigh.
miss chen approaches our classroom, carrying the orange SingHealth slingbag she always carries with her [and observation made by graciepoo]. Approaching...
"BECAUSE MY AUDREY NOT AROUND!!!" Valsoh declares.
"OI!" valteo slaps valsoh on the wrist. The partners whirled around, and to their horror [especially valsoh's], their teacher is RIGHT BEHIND THEM and she'd probably heard valsoh's bold declaration!
The tentacled freaks screamed and dashed into the classroom to start the lesson and get back their commonwealth essays [much to valteo's dismay].
Okay. I've learnt a very important lesson- NEVER, by all means, stand at the common corridor. I was standing at the corridor on Wednesday when lulu happened to pass. I immediately dashed forward, screaming "LULU LULU LOOLOOOOO!" with my arms outstretched. Unfortunately I'd forgotten that my lit teacher was walking right in front of me, and when she suddenly turned around to talk to my friend...
GASP.
i bet my lit teacher really thinks i'm crazy.
BUT i'd rather my lit teacher think I'm crazy than declare that I'm going to commit suicide in front of my eng teacher! HAHA. valsoh ah valsoh...

OH MAN!

Haha. That's my family photo... Took it when we all went to Moonfish restaurant at Millenia Walk for dinner. Can you spot me? (aiyo so wu liao!)
Yesterday was lulu's birthday! I don't know why, but I must've given the stupidest gift in the whole world! And to think i'd been planning it since last december (holiday time very boring so i just daydreamed the whole day long)!! AW MAN! On wednesday I went to the shop to buy lulu her birthday prezzie- the shirt. I wasn't quite sure if the shirt would fit so I queued up to try on the shirt in the fitting room and the saleslady was like, "Aiya you sure can wear one lah!" Then after buying the shirt i went to sports connection to buy a nalgene bottle for lulu... I didn't realise that I'd just bought everything PINK for lulu. AW MAN! (the bottle is the same one that charlotte and MISS CHUNG and MISS CHEN have) Aiyo another mistake lah... Most people always get stuffed toys and keychains and cutesy stuff for their bdaes, but I bought a water bottle. but a bottle would be useful... I guess... HAHA.
I LOVE THE SHIRT! It looks so spastic because I painted words on it! I think i painted the liangzi fan club logo and mottos and stuff like that. And in the front is an LZ and a red octopus. HAHA. My dog tried to go near the shirt while I was painting it and I shouted at her... AW MAN! my poor dog. aiyo anyway that's the second shirt I've painted- I practised on my old shirt and it didn't turn out that nice. fortunately (although I dont have any artistic skills) lulu's shirt is fine. AND I DON'T HAVE ARTISTIC SKILLS! AW MAN! what was i playing at, trying to paint a shirt when I've been getting C for art since primary one?! haha. lulu, i hope u still like the stuff, even if it's just a leeeeettle bit, i dont mind! haha! (:
HM. maybe I should NOT paint anymore shirts for the time being. there's too many paint stains on my table! haha!
AND agogo and I gave our testimonials in front of the whole congregation today! It was nerve-wrecking, coz both of us were shivering from head to toe! at least the testimonials were short and sweet!~

pokemon

Hooray.
After so many weeks of searching, I've finally found the perfect spot to train for the Pokemon League. I tried seafoam islands, pokemon mansion, the route near Silence Bridge (with all the ditto) and finally I discovered the best way to train. Coz i've finished saving lostelle in the berry forest in three island, so I went all the way to victory road and back to One Island to train. Kindle Road makes a pretty good training spot because of all the strong trainers around. I used the VS seeker and managed to level up all my pokemon in slightly more than half an hour. Besides the wild pokemon aren't that bad either- there's Persian and Fearow, but that's nothing compared to using the VS seeker.
YAY i'm so slack with my pokemon leaf green! With a bit of luck i caught moltres at mt ember with almost THIRTY ultra balls (walao waste a lot of money!). and now my pokemon are at their prime. All around level 60, venusaur, snorlax, pidgeot (i've NEVER played a game without using a pidgeot, except in ruby, sapphire and emerald), raichu, hypno and vaporeon. When I was in primary two I used Blastoise, Raichu, Flareon, Pidgeot, Alakazam and Golem. haha.
i reeeeeally hate bruno's machamp because of its sickening Cross Chop attack (which it didnt have in the OLDER version) and both pidgeot and hypno couldn't K.O it. instead it nearly deciminated my poor pidgeot. and that is why i started training even harder. OHMAN.
okay i'm like talking loads of pokemon lingo which some of u wouldn't understand... never mind... i just love pokemon, although even the woman who sold me the game told me I was still quite childish to play pokemon. ooh i shall never stop pokemon-ing until I die!
and that is why my mom suggested that when I die, she wouldn't be around so she told me to remind my children to put my three gameboys and pokemon games and harry potter lego and 5566 CD collection into the coffin with me. I told mom that they'd probably have to get two coffins, one for all my things and another for me. and some more things. HAHA!
and i'm not afraid to talk about death because I want to become a pathologist.

okay

HAIZ today was a very funny day indeed!
today kohby scolded felicia. oh, haha. poor kohby. poor felicia.
audrey chen was kind of late today, so valsoh and I decided to take a breather outside the classroom. We started doing qi gong. You have to follow a poem while doing the qi gong, cos it helps u remember the strokes for the exercise.
"One BIG responsibility, cut into half.
One for you, and one for her."
Suddenly while we were doing qi gong we saw audrey chen and made a mad scramble for the classroom. Ohdear. I've done too many stupid things!
Computer studies was really fun! My group is so united! whee. we came up with really funny nicknames for each other.
Dorcas: STINGRAY. also the elder son in our seafood family.
Willette: SEA MUSHROOM. actually she's MUSHROOM but we conveniently changed it to SEA mushroom. haha. seafood. mushroom in the sea. WILLETTE IS MY WIFE! YAY!
Me: OCTEOPUS. I'm willette's husband, Annie and Kiwan's son-in-law.
Kiwan: SEA KIWI. need i explain further? Anyway kiwi's willette's mother. annie's husband. the grandma of the seafood family.
Annie: SEA ANEMONE. sea anniemone. get it? The grandpa.
Valsoh: SQUID. squiddy. sotong. My daughter! The granddaughter.
This is so funny! lol!
im probably taking part in a piano competition organised by Trinity. SO SCARED! mrs tan told me i should join, and I'd most probably play my exam piece- Sonata Pathetique (yes pathetic.) and schubert's impromptu... the one in E flat major... WOW. i dont mind if I dont win anything, It'll be a wonderful experience nevertheless... haha... CHEERS!
