END OF EOYs!
REJOICE! FREEDOM AT LONG LONG LOOOOONG LAST (:wahoo!
Friday was really cool cos that was the day our EOYs finally ended! yes math was okay lar. After the new south wales survey thing cheryl, celine, ilisa, valsoh and I went to bugis!! We had lunch at yoshinoya (and it's cheryl and ilisa's first time there) and then celine and ilisa went to watch a movie. So cheryl valsoh and I went around the mall helping valsoh look for a CD shop cos she wanted to buy her sister a present. I bought leng's present too (but i'm NOT telling) and after walking around for some time we found sembawang CD shop in the place where you have to cross a bridge to get there. The open concept of the mall is nice. It seems like you're outdoors but actually you're not.... just that loads of light keep shining in through the transparent windows. Ah. The funniest yet most infuriating thing happened to us in the toilet.
The three of us were queueing up when the old toilet cleaner started scolding us in hokkien.
She accused us of wasting her time (and the other people in the toilet's time) because she assumed that we had gone into the toilet to change into our outing clothes (we were in uniform and carrying plastic bags). stupid old lady.
The worst thing was that she scolded us for playing truant and loitering around the mall! Cheryl and valsoh didn't understand what she was saying, but I could cos she was speaking in hokkien. We didn't say anything but the probably-senile old woman kept glaring at us angrily and grumbling. That was the malu-est moment of all. I think she thought we didn't understand her! Stupid! I should have argued back at her, since I know quite a reasonable amount of crude hokkien heheheheheh. We kept on talking about the woman in the train. And we also saw loads of women wearing a weird combination of dark purple and dark blue! but the entire shopping trip was fun. loads of fun.
SATURDAY-
my best friend's birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY LENG!! <3<3<3 strawberry loves you loads.
my parents and I had breakfast at changi village, then went on the new changi coastal boardwalk. It's pretty cool and it wasn't hot at all because of the nice sea breeze. The three of us sat down at this short flight of steps where you can get so close to the water and watch the waves. I got so hypnotised by the water that I almost fell. ahahahaha. Dad and I thought that there were sharks or dolphins in the water because of a protrusion in the water that resembled a pair of fins, until we realised there weren't sharks or dolphins in singapore waters but only ROCKS. It was a sharp rock sticking out of the sea. bleh. Then we walked on for a really long long distance and we actually went very very near to old changi hospital (which dad and I were super enthu about exploring, but mum didn't want to). So mum was so exasperated that she said, "Aiya, since both of you like to explore haunted places so much then I might as well book a ghost tour for you la. 12 midnight okay." haha mum is so funny (: The kelong walk was fun too, because we saw loads of sticks and stilts and trees and hornets and SEASHELLS! We finished the whole walk in about two hours! That includes walking from the food center to the end of the walk and back to the food center again okay! Ah at least I had my fair share of exercise. I feel so much thinner!
Then we went to river view hotel with my aunt and grandma. The buffet lunch was incredible! There were cold dishes and spanish and indian and chinese and western and japanese and all sorts of food! We ate there for two hours or so, but honestly I didn't eat a lot. Just tried one of everything. But I kept eating the sausages, banana and raisin pudding and OYSTERS! oysters are great man. The best part was the shell cos it's so nice and shiny!!!
After lunch we went to vivo city to walk around and explore, but it was so crowded I almost suffocated! Mum made me try on some very very weird and short dresses for my cousin's wedding and piano teacher's concert, but the dresses were so short and I looked very odd and fat in them. Can't imagine myself in something that doesnt have a sleeve! NEVER! I tried on the dress which was super low cut and no sleeve and I burst out crying. hahaha! my aunt was laughing away. haha. So I made a promise to myself that I'd never wear anything without sleeves unless I had a cardigan or a really long sweater to go with it. yuck yuck yuck!
We had dinner at the teochew porridge stall in joo chiat and all I ate was half a bowl of porridge and half a bowl of salted vegetables. Then we went home! of course lar then where else? haha.
saturday was the first time in more than half a year that I actually went out for more than five hours! WHAT FUN FUN FUN FUN! FREEDOM iS FUN!
and TODAY!
after church I went shopping with my cousins and other church friends went to tampines mall and century. Everyone went different ways so there were only four of us left, my three cousins deb pris and chloe and I. So we spent most of the time taking neoprints (and designing them!!). AND I FINALLY SPENT MY BIRTHDAY MONEY!
I happened to bring my birthday money with me so I went to the game shop to buy harry potter and the goblet of fire (nintendo DS) and Pokemon Mystery Dungeon blue rescue team (nintendo DS). Hooray they gave me discount for the games and also discount for the pokemon mystery dungeon nintendo power guide book! WAHAHAHAHAHAHA finally!! (:
see! see how fun it is when EOYs are over! FREEDOM!!! :)
