MTC youth camp and other things...

GREETINGS FROM UNDER THE SEA! I'm finally back from two-and-a-half days of my church's MTC youth camp. yupyup.
I suppose millions of interesting things have been happenin' for the past few days, so be warned- this post is going to be probably one of the longest i've ever written. Gear up your eyes and get ready to rollllll.... (?)
Saturday, 26th November:
Quite an interesting day... first dad and mom decided to have brunch at the joo chiat hay mee tng (prawn noodle soup) stall, and honestly I wasn't looking forward to it at all because I don't like prawn noodle soup. HA but unfortunately the stall was closed so mom and I went a-hunting for christmas decorations for my annual Banana Gang christmas party. In the end we bought some frilly colourful little party hats, one of which I placed rather unceremoniously on my dog's flattened head. And then we made a detour to kallang airport to eat lor mee and char kway teow before shopping for dad's winter clothes at suntec city. Dad went to shanghai for two days on monday, and he's extremely ultra-sensitive to the cold. sigh. After the seemingly endless hours of shopping we were heading back for the carpark when Dad decided to take us on a Ducktour. Basically, you get to sit in an amphibianic bus/boat in the shape of either a male or female duck and tour around some historical sites in Singapore on land and on the WATER! I was wondering how they'd be able to get into the sea. After leaving suntec city, the boat went on a rather sharp turn towards a forested area which had a track meant only for the ducktours. It was so bumpy and since I was sitting right next to the window there were leaves and bits of tree branches all over the top of my head. Once you got out of the other side of the track, you'd land right at the shore and then SPLASH. you take the great plunge. The tour was pretty lively, but the most interesting part was bobbing up and down in the sea... I was desperately trying to get myself wet... And that's about it for saturday i guess.. but i didn't watch Zi Jin Zhi Dian! ohh...

Monday: Dad left for shanghai, Leng left for Kuala Lumpur, Lulu's probably stuffing herself insane with man tous and chopsticks and chinese food in CHINA (duh) and lion king is probably enjoying herself in china too.... AAARGH!! why must everyone go overseas?! monday was like the loneliest day, and the only consolation was that agogo and I chatted for a pretty long time at night. HAHA.

Wednesday to Friday: MTC YOUTH CAMP!!!!!!!
I overslept on wednesday and nearly pissed mom off coz we were around ten minutes late?!! Mom and I went to the dentist after dropping off elizabeth and agogo at church first. Talk about the dentist thingy later. I left for church after the dentist appointment and got there at around 11am? The moment I burst into the hall the reverend was already delivering his first message and (very luckily) the message was about to end. sing hymns and the camp theme song We Are More Than Conquerors and in case you haven't noticed, MTC stands for more than conquerors. And then it was group time. There were three groups, kenneth's was Spongebob, agogo's was Old Cows *moomoomoo* and mine was SPIRIT MOON. whee. the nicest name. We played some games in church and team Spongebob beat the others flat in all the games of ping-pong. awwwww. From then on I thought that team Spongebob would definitely be the clear winner, coz my team was a little behind on the first day. We had the tampines one-dollar chicken rice for lunch, then agogo elizabeth abel and me went to play Twister until it was time to check in at the Aloha chalet in pasir ris. yup uncle sunny fetched the three of us and kevin and joana to the resort, and trust me, the four girls at the back really turned into squashed bananas by the time we got to the chalet. we had lunch, played games and had another message at night after dinner. i think the message was largely meant to be a chance to evangelise to the non-christians who came. Night games- agogo and I persuaded mom to let us sta and play the candle game twice and my group LOST again i think. but no matter.
Thursday--> item item item ITEEEEEMM!!!!!!!!!! argh!
Yesterday was absolutely enjoyable. really. On the first day of camp I was a bit quiet, in fact, too quiet for a usually noisy lunatic like me. But yesterday I was more open and back to my usual self, probably bcoz kenneth came along this time. Elizabeth agogo kenneth and I arrived at the chalet just in time to attend another message. This one was extremely long, and unfortunately, since I was sitting right in front of the preacher with the rest of the Spirit Moon-ers I found myself trying hard to stay awake. Actually the message became gradually more exciting because it was all about sex and about having boyfriends and that sort of thing. Dating. There was a chart which looked more like a heat-o-meter and it showed stuff like the twelve steps of bonding. Hand to hand and eventually it reaches the point of no return- genitals to genitals. During lunchtime the four of us finished our food and went out to the garden to play. Initially I had a small third clique- KTV, which stands for the Kenneth, Tina and Val. Agogo's Tina because she doesn't really have a real christian name. HAHAH. Now with Elizabeth it's extended to EKTV. EKTV- Evangelists' Karaoke Television. The moment agogo came up with that little hidden acronym we all burst out laughing! We were so free that we walked all over the little path and the back garden which led to the other chalets and the beach. On the way we spotted Daniel riding the bike so the four of us went chasing him and screaming and shrieking. Pretty insane. but funny all the same. When daniel cycled out to the beach we all shouted at him not to tiao hai (jumping into the sea). We were really mad... Oh and agogo and I got married, and we tried getting elizabeth to marry me but she wouldn't hear of it.
Group discussion time- eheheh let's see who's in my group....
-team leader--> cliffton. hahar very nice and supporting team leader. duh.
-peng bo. very quiet jay chou-ish guy. blah.
-jason. the song leader. ahahah thanks for the ideas for our presentation.
-joash. HA, HO, HEE, HEH. joker. (:
-kevin. the siao sports pro. reminds me of a cross between xian rong, gordon and shang xuan.
-"DEAR DEBBIE" *as she would rather be called. --> muahaha my dear deoxygenated cousin deborah. yes.
-me. deb and I were the only girls in the group. oh, dear...
We were brainstorming for some ideas for our group presentation. In the end we decided on a skit. the cast...
badbadbadbaaad devil--> cliffton
(the chio) angel--> dear deoxygenated debbie.
the host of the gameshow *what a notty notty boy!*-->jason
the two contestants--> pengbo and joash
the boyfriend *very perverse one*--> kevin
the girlfriend *very bimbotic one*--> me.
The story goes that two contestants are participating in a gameshow. The host shows three different incidents (which are based on the message on dating delivered earlier in the day). The first incident: Guy sees girl, sparks fly and they fall in love in the park. erm. guy and girl shuffle towards each other on the bench and finally guy tries to put arm on girl's shoulder. At that moment, the video of the incident pauses and the angel and devil start telling the guy what he should do. Then, the host asks the contestants if the guy should touch the girl and... pengbo gets it right but joash doesnt. the same thing continues, except that the incidents become increasingly more perverse. the second incident involves the guy and girl disco dancing and when both get very tired of dancing, the guy offers the girl a drink. Just when the girl is about to get the drink, the "video" pauses, the angel and demon debate and contestants give their answer. The girl shouldnt drink it because the guy might've spiked the drink or alcohol would make her drunk and do rash things. The last incident involves the guy sending the girl home. As the girl reaches her doorstep and bids the guy farewell, the guy casually asks if anyone is home. The girl says "No, why leh?" and the guy asks if he could go to the girl's house for a while. The things pauses AGAIN, blah blah blah, and in the end, the girl firmly refuses to let the guy in. the poor guy retreats and the girl goes home. WAHAHAH.
games time again. I won my very first two games of captain's ball! Spirit moon rocks! We did pretty well in the ball games and frisbee so we managed to catch up a little. AHA. group presentation. First up were the Old Cows who did a skit too. and AGOGO acted as some sort of a prostitute who passed the Aids virus to a guy (who unfortunately happened to be timothy). team Spongebob did a song and kenneth looked really cute that time... Spirit Moon won the presentation and we managed to climb all the way up to first place!! We got Swensens vouchers (which were bought by my mom) and we're going out as a group to eat!!! yay! The special barbecue was great! I had three of everything- three chicken wings, sausages and satay. After dinner the three of us went out to play volleyball (elizabeth went home first). Earlier in the afternoon four of us played volleyball with an extremely sporting cliffton. I think kenneth and cliffton must've become even fitter from climbing into drains and darting about to pick up the ball... whoops- sorry for making u run so much! :)
So anyway we were now joined by many others and we ended up playing an interesting game of monkey and then dodgeball. It was pretty late (11pm!) when mom decided to take us home, but kenneth and agogo wanted to stay. I was like in a dilemma bcoz I didn't want to be left out but I also wanted to go home and sleep in my own bed with my own pillow michelle... And I kept refusing to stay because I definitely couldn't leave my dog and my house and my room and my michelle behind!!! I can never sleep comfortably without michelle, my old, mouldy pillow with a nice corner which I rub every night since I was three. So I went home and agogo and kenneth stayed in the end...
MTC youth camp was fun! I really enjoyed myself for the past two days. And I also never had so much fun with boys since the last time when I was sitting with darren rainer xianrong and kang ning at the science lab. WOOHOO!! We are More Than Conquerors!! and also the Evangelists' Karaoke Television... hehehe...

TODAY: The dentist said that I had two milk teeth which were still unusually firmly rooted in the gums. He suspects that there isn't any permanent teeth beneath the two milk teeth. Next week I have to go for a series of x-rays on my teeth, and if there really isn't any permanent teeth, i'll have to extract the two milk teeth. The milk teeth are also unusually large (10mm long) whereas an average tooth like mine should be only 7mm long. After extraction, the dentist will probably have to close in the large 10mm-gap by fixing braces on both my jaws. As for my lower jaw, the only way to correct it is either by sawing it (the non-surgical method) or by doing a very traumatic surgery. They break the jaw bone, make it shorter in length and stick it back so that i'll have a shorter lower jaw. Looking at the terrible methods of fixing my jaw, I'd much rather have it just as long the way it is now, as long as it doesn't grow any longer!!! ^-^

"My house there got a nice bubble tea shop, let's go there!"

Octeopus rambled on and on and on, on 10:30 AM.
